Sounds as if he was supposed to get a lot of playing time. Though it does mention he may get limited playing time too, so i dont know.

After his last showing I'm surprised that they don't want him to get more reps. I know he only arrived in NY a couple of days before their last game but I thought he looked pretty sorry.

I'm thinking the same thing. I'm tempted to drop Gado for Blaylock - at least he has a starting gig for now, and it's not a given that Barlow will be all that effective, anyway.

inside rumor - Tangini won't confirm that the sun will rise tomorrow. Barlow only had 3 carries with the 1st team - gotta think Blaylock gets first crack at it.

Hi Chreesto, I mentioned in another thread as a bit of a joke but in all seriousness most QB/RB/WR that are going to start next week and are an integral part of the offense are not playing much if at all tonight....no reason to risk injury.

Blaylock's more of a 3rd down back, no? Not feature back material? He didn't exactly take over when Martin got hurt last year.

Have to think the Jets went out and got Barlow b/c everybody else in camp was sucking. Gave up a draft pick and some cap room if I'm not mistaken.

I also expect Blalock to start week 1, but I don't expect his hold on the job to last long.

If they Jets wanted one of their guys to be the feature back, they wouldn't have given up a pick and taken on over $10 million in salary over the next 3 years to bring in Barlow.

Jets fan here.. I doubt Blaylock will be the starter for this very reason

there's no way they're paying barlow 5 mil to sit on the bench in week 1, 2 and 3. He'll be the starter until he gets injured or fumbles himself out of a job.
