Just read the injury report, and it lists Nece as questionable for Week 5. If Nece is out, does that mean that Quarles will play OLB and Ruud will play MLB? I haven't read anything about it, but was wondering what the deal is. Ruud should put up decent numbers IF he plays. Anyone know?

Haven't seen any practice reports yet but this will be one of the biggest IDP stories of the week if Nece is healthy enough to play. If Nece is out, it'll be Quarles at SLB and Ruud in the middle as it was in Week 3. Should know more after Thursday practice.

Has he kept his starting job? Keep in mind Quarles is a stud at Strong side and Ruud is doing a decent job in the middle. They may keep it this way and sit Nece.

That's the hopeful speculation.Nece is a solid player, though, and has played well enough to keep Ruud on the bench through two training camps now. FWIW, there's no information available on Gruden's press conference yesterday. Most Buc message boarders are expecting Nece to send Ruud back to the bench (all speculation -- no official word about anything). They are routinely hard on poor play (eg they vilify Booger on a daily basis) and love Ruud but are still happy to have Nece in the lineup.If I stumble on anything else I'll throw it up here, but the Tampa Trib links from Gator are all that's out there for now.

Quarles played most of the second half last week after coming out for a few plays with this injury. Since he was able to practice, he's probably likely to play. Worth keeping an eye on though.
