From the ESPN rumor department...

So long, San Francisco?

Jun 18 - The Giants could be sellers this trade season, and GM Brian Sabean has not ruled out the possibility of dealing Barry Bonds, the San Jose Mercury News reports.

"I don't know if there is [a chance], because of all the factors involved," Sabean told the newspaper. "And it wouldn't be my decision unilaterally. So it's a complicated question and it's not a simple answer."

Bonds might consider waiving his no-trade provision if the club were to explore deals. "They can trade me," he said. "They can do that. I don't think they will, though. It's not like I want to be traded, man. I'm a Giant. I'm stuck here till the end."

He can only go to an AL team, and who would want him? He's a part time player with immense distractions and highly suspect knees. Oh, and he makes 20 mil per season and he's likely to get booed by your own fans.

The best thing for him would be to go to an AL team and he could DH every day and really add to his HR totals...

1) It'd have to be a contender in the AL.

2) The Giants would have to take on quite a bit of his salary.

3) The Giants would have to get prospects in return.

4) The Giants won't get any top prospects in return.

no way they do this, if anybody really wanted him, they could have signed him this offseason. Plus he's the only reason the fans have to come out to the ballpark in SF this year.
