We are looking for one more dedicated person to join a $60 12 team keeper league. The team in question has verlander, fielder, ellsbury, wright as probable keepers. The rules are as follows:
League Rules
League Fee: $60 per team
Payouts- 1st place- $300
2nd place- $100
Division winners- $30 each ($60 )
Most Points- $90
Most Weekly Awards- $30
Roster Size- 22 major league players, 3 minor league players, 2 IR spots
Keepers- 4 major league players, minimum of 1 batter and 1 pitcher
3 minor league players
injured players can only be kept if injured while on your roster
Teams list of keepers due February 27th
Contracts- keepers will have a 3 year contract on your team
Players acquired through mid season trades will finish the year on old teams contracted time, starting their 3 years the following year
Free agents acquired prior to the all star break will start under contract that year, same will go for minor league players called up to your major league roster.
Free agents acquired during or after all star break will start contract the following year, same will apply for minor league players called up to your major league roster
“Home Grown” contracts- Players that are drafted in a minor league draft or rule 4 draft in this league and under the age of 25 when drafted, will be allowed a 5 year contract, if the said player is drafted in our major league draft and moved to your minor league roster, he is not eligible
If a player is drafted in the minor league draft, and begins the year in the majors that same year, he will not be eligible for a 5 year contract.
players acquired through FA/WW Monday claims, will also be eligible for a 5 year contract
Traded minor league players are still eligible for a 5 year contract if they have not reached your mlb roster yet.
Players under the first two years of their “Home Grown” contracts can be kept in addition to your 4 keepers each year.
IR spots- must be on the dl on mlb team
must be on your roster prior to going on the dl
must come off your ir within 5 days of being activated by mlb team
trades can not be made from this roster position, trades are from active roster only
Free Agency- all free agents will be acquired through priority lists
FA/WW transactions to go off daily at 3am
Minor League Free Agency-
Once a week, waiver wire pickups to go off at 3am Monday, you will be sent to the bottom of the fa/ww claims list and lose the player claimed if minor leaguers are picked up on any other day...for clarification, only claim minor leaguers on Sundays for Monday morning processing
Minor League Eligibility- player must start the league in the minors to be eligible for minor league status
if a keeper from your minor league roster starts the year in the majors, then you as well must start your player on your major league roster
established major leaguers, that do rehab stints in the minor leagues, are not eligible for minor league status in this league
we are setting an age limit of 25 years old to qualify for minor league eligibility
players that are injured in the mlb, are only eligible to be picked up as a fa/ww in the mlb
there is no requirements to bring a minor leaguer up during the season to your mlb roster even if they have been brought up in real life, but once brought up, they need to be in the minors again to be eligible to send back down in this league
Divisions- divisions are drafted by the top two teams from the previous year
Schedule- 3 games against divisional teams, 1 game against other division
Playoffs- top four teams from each division
Matchups will be from division, 1vs 4, 2 vs 3
Teams not in the playoffs will not be allowed to pick up free agents
Once you are eliminated, you are locked from free agency
Future Drafts- teams will be ranked at the beginning of the year in February based on projected rankings of their 4 mlb keepers by CBS.com projections based on our scoring
Teams will be ranked 1 through 12 based on projected total points of the 4 keepers, lowest total team drafting first
Rounds 1-4 will go draft spots 1-12, this will be done on message board
Rounds 5-8 will go draft spots 12-1, this will also be done via message board
Remaining rounds will be serpentine starting at 1, this will be done via live online draft
Minor league draft will take place after the start of the mlb season, on the first Monday of the season and will be held in reverse draft order from our mlb draft
