They Yankees they get up 12-0, where RBI 12 was knocked in by Abreu...The Red Sox then score 11 runs and lose 12-11... ARod would get the GW RBI because that put them ahead to stay for good...
Those who get a lot of RBIs tend to be good players on good teams, but it is not always the case. The problem with an RBI is that it is too situationally dependent to be a good indicator of player value, a game-winning RBI even more so.
