Note for anyone who might have my dog and streak system pages bookmarked,

DO NOT RELY ON THEM AT THIS TIME.

The dog system page uses the Sagarin pitcher ratings, and obviously they haven't been generated for this season yet. The page currently links to the 2005 ratings, and so provides results that look plausible. If you think that pitchers in today's games can be judged by their results at the end of last season, then by all means use the page. lol

As for the streak system, well I don't think y'all liked it much anyhow, but the 2005 results need to be added to it to prepare it for 2006.

I'll post when the pages are ready for use.
:link:
If'n you haven't found it by now, link.
Have you ever tracked this system to determine if it's actually successful? (Yes, I read the article you link to on your page, but I want to know if a real person has ever had good results with this system.)What other "systems" are people using? I'm intrigued about this whole sports betting thing. There's got to be a way to beat this consistently.
Ok, so maybe this sports betting stuff isn't as easy as it looks. I've made 10 bets of 1 unit each in the last 5 days and I'm down 4 units. There's gotta be a way to make money doing this. I suppose it would help if I actually knew something about baseball.

Stone cold lock system to win at sports betting:Anything GM and myself agree on a wager, BET THE OPPOSITE HEAVY.

I haven't played in about a week, and my account is at an all-time high after hitting a Cavalier prop bet the other night +1950

Anyway, I have a small play on the Yanks/Mets over 8 (+120).  I think both lineups are pretty explosive, and don't think either bullpen is necessarily nails.  Sure Pedro/Mussina is a tight pitching matchup, but I think if we can get a few early runs, and a close game, each team should be able to put up at least 4 runs.

I like a few games tonight, but have to run some errands, so we'll see if I'm back in time to get some late action.  If I do, I'll post.  For now, I'm leaning Atlanta (huge value there) and LA Dodgers.

g'luck
Never had a doubt on this one  Tonight I'm on Texas (Millwood +110) for 3 units. Houston has not been very good offensively the past week or so, and Millwod has been pitching adequately. I like the Texas bats here to hit Petitte. If it's close and has to go to the bullpens, it could get very interesting.

g'luck
I'm on a pretty big rush here. IF Atlanta wins tonight, I'll be up about 30 units over the last week and a half. I'll see if I can get some more down for tomorrow

g'luck

I like Pedro over the Yankees today, the Yanks are so banged up. Mets -130

Also on dodgers-angels over 8-1/2 +100

I also think the Rangers (Millwood) prevail over the Astros (Pettite), Rangers +103
2 out of 3 today. If Billy Wagner could do his job, it would have been an easy 3 for 3.

Feel bad for all you Mets players yesterday. Had the Yanks, didn't watch the game, just saw they won 5-4, so it was all good to me. Been a good week. Today's plays:

Reds +127

Red Sox +124

KC o10.5 even

Col o10.5 -110

Seems to me Zambrano offers excellent value. Guy's given up 1 run in his last 3 starts, pitching a whopping 23 innings. He looked ridiculous last out AT SF. Came right after Bonds every AB, what a gamer.

Cubs suck, but he's good enough to win it on his own. Just a very high price to get a pitcher this good. Yes, I know who he's going against, but it's worth a shot at that price. Under could be a play, as well...

So far I'm on:

Over 9.5 Was/Bal +103

Livan Hernandez is so very hittable, and it's not like Bruce Chen is lights out over there. I think both teams have enough pop in their lineups to put this game over. I see an 8-4 type game here.

Cincy (Harang) +123

Played this one this morning and seems like the lines been going slightly down. I just think the Reds are better, and I get the better of the pitching matchups. Good value.

I love the Mets and Rangers today, but I'm not laying that much chalk on Glavine. I may parlay these two, and I'll definitely play the Rangers straight.

I agree Brong +170 with Zambrano is too good to pass up. On it.Also going back to the well with Dodgers-Angels OVER 8.5 +100

Taking T Bay (Kazmir) -135 over Florida. Kazmir is pitching so much better than Willis right now and Florida's supporting cast is weak.

Damn. Tried to parlay Kazmier to the Ducks tonight, and I missed it by seconds...literally. Between entering the wager, and confirming it, it nixed me. :hot: Now I have the feared, "anit-bet".

2 for 3 again today, nice call with Zambrano Brong.I am laying off tonight. Line looks pretty on.

I just can't back the Yanks right now and thats too much money to back the Mets. Total looks on the $$$ too.

Thanks. I am so pissed I missed the TB/Ducks parlay because not only would I be alive, but I ended up subbing a loser in for the missed play (by SECONDS). Oh well.I see the game tonight exactly as you, but I so badly want the action. Ducks are too high also, although I like them. That's why I wanted 'em parlayed.

Ah, what to do on a Sunday night...

like SD today too, prosopis!

2-3 today thus far2 units on NYY +15O - just too good a value IMHO to pass up - Mets always seem to choke at home in thse spots when they have a chance to win an important series - see ATL earlier this year.

NYY has shown they are not going to rollover no matter who is on the hill or who is hurt

Disclaimer: I am a born and bred NYY fan and maybe being a homer here

Looking at the early game today. Liking the over and TB. TB is hot right now, granted they beat up on the Marlins, but are playing good ball. Toronto is headed in the opposite direction. Janssen is a helluva pitcher, but he is a rookie, should have ups and downs. Can anyone persuade me not to take TB +171?

If it makes you feel any better, McClung's been pitching decently lately, and there is no way I'd lay -175 with Toronto without Halladay pitching.edit to add:

I really didn't realize just how well McClung has been pitching lately:

Last 4 starts, all at least 6 1/3 innings, and in those 4 starts, he has given up 2, 2, 1 and 2 earned runs.

YTD: 36-37-2 -3.01u

Well, just as I get back to even I go and give 3 units away. With you guys on the Tampa afternoon play.

TB +168

So I took the Mets last night, even with the heavy chalk, and I still can't believe they won that game. No way did they deserve to win yet somehow they did. I think the Yanks stranded 15 or so baserunners, it seemed like they had the bases loaded every freaking inning. Oh well.

Added for tonight:CHC/FLA U9 -126

CIN -1 -107

MIL/CIN U10 -130

SEA -119

STL -131

Don't really like the card with all the chalk, unless of course the D-Rays can start me off with a win.

 Looks like I could be shaping up for a rough night...

I placed a rather larger wager (for me) tonight.

5 units over 7.5 LaD vs Col (-109)

Basically both teams have been hitting the ball pretty well, and I don't have much faith in either starting pitcher.

I'm also on Atlanta and St Louis tonight for smaller plays.

g'luck

However, both pitchers have been pitching well of late, including starts at dreaded Coors for each. Actually, Penny especially has looked good. Also, both teams much prefer left-handed pitching.

Just some observations. GL

Incidentally, I will probably play the red-hot Dodgers.

Good observations, and thank you. I was going to go hammer the over some more, but I see it jumped to -121, and that's a bit too rich. g'luck on the Dodgers

Tommorow I like Minn +145
Curious about your reasoning here. CC has been solid since coming back while Radke is washed up and loves to give teams a 2-3 run head start in the first inning. The only way the Twins win with Radke on the mound is if they smack the #### out of the ball and with the way Sabathia is pitching I don't see that happening. Doesn't help that Stewart just went on the DL either.

I was thinking about going heavy on Cleveland despite the chalk, so I'm interested in reasoning here too. Radke had a decent outing last time out, but I can't see him having two in a row.
