Be careful with ESPN injury reports...pressure is on to beat the NFLN (1 Viewer)

Ministry of Pain

I am nervous about any breaking news ESPN is going to report. I didn't see them cover the HoF inductions much this year, and I think they feel they might be losing their grip on the NFL. Someone had said Primetime might be going away...I like ESPN's coverage of the NFL and think they have a nice combo of Mort/Geeky Guy reporting most of the breaking news...but let's face it, they are on the hot seat right now.

They got Monday Football but I have to ssume that the ratings for MNF are going to dip not skyrocket by being on cable...yes there are people that do not have cable.

You guys might disagree but I am leery of just about anything ESPN is reporting preseason as a lot of it is rumor stuff.

Of course many of you are probably leery of much that I post too.

It was interesting, too, that you could find absolutely NOTHING about the PHI-OAK game that EVERYONE and his mom, dad, and dog were watching. Nothing. I think they're in the middle of an identity crisis after really being the NFL filter (more than FOX, CBS) for so many years.

I think this is a worthy point to bring up.

They've talked about Mike Bell at least once every five minutes because Shanahan made him the starter for a preseason game.

Exactly...they have turned him into a household name. I know there are people here that know Len Pasquerelli...his name has been brought up a few times on TV...can't wait to see them try and bring Len into the studio...might have to put a barn door in literally so he can fit into the studio...that guy has some OK football knowledge but if they plan on turning him into a studio guy at all...you thought Hank Goldberg looked bad in HD...whoah nellie!
