Bears Training Camp Day 4 (1 Viewer)

what ailment? where's grid with the update?
Sorry, don't have a link but got this off of CBS Sportsline:The Chicago Tribune reports that Bears WR/KR Devin Hester was out of practice again Thursday with an injury shrouded in mystery. The club is being cautious with him and the nature of his problem. "How about general soreness?" coach Lovie Smith said. "Leg injury. You can put it like that."

(Updated 08/03/2007).

wtf I don't LIVE at Bears Camp.

Hester has missed the past three days of practice. Hammy.

Mark Bradley is seizing the opportunity and been lookin' pretty good after getting chewed out by Mike Brown on Monday for goofing off after dropping a pass.

Ball won't make the roster from what I've read. Mike Haas will be the lone WR that wasn't on the team last year:

Moose/Berrian will start

Rashied Davis and Mark Bradley will be the 3 and 4 receivers

Hester will be the gadget play guy and special teamer extraordinaire.

Haas is more than likely the 6th WR on the roster - and Ball will be a practice team guy.

If Ball is doing so well, why the negative viewpoint here then? Seems contradictory

Apparently Haas has performed better than him, that's all. That's not negative in my viewpoint.

The day I was at camp Ball was looking good and catching everything. But I wasn't there for OTAs, Mini-Camps and practice the remainder of the week.

Time will tell.

Hell, there's no guarantee they even carry 6 wideouts - especially the way the Bears pass the ball. But I can't honestly consider Hester a 'WR'. He's a kick returner first and foremost and a part time receiver in my world.

been looking for a good impartial bears blog with consistent camp updates but haven't really found one yet. Any suggestions?

This is by far the best one I've found. Lawrence Holmes, from 670 The Score Radio has a daily training camp blog on 670thescore.com.:http://www.670thescore.com/pages/190237.ph...ontentId=295949

I always like him on The Score, and he's the Bears beat reporter. I think he provides very good coverage of the Bears.

A few others, but not nearly as good:

This is a news site for a paper that is near Bourbonnais, but I wouldn't really say it's impartial. Mainly just news pieces, but they do have some training camp info:

http://www.bearscamp.org/New/index.html

This is a daily Bears blog, but not really a lot of info on training camp:

http://www.chicagobearsweblog.com/blog/index.php

Aside from that, I also just check the local newspaper websites periodically:

Chicagosports.com (Tribune)

Suntimes.com

DailyHerald.com

Also, 670thescore.com has a link where you can listen live (if you're at work, or not in Chicago, like me). Hub Arkush, of Pro Football Weekly, and Bears insider, is frequently on the different shows, and he provides great coverage and analysis.
