For the sake of this poll, imagine the rosters as is. Therefore, no Tommie Harris for the Bears, no 100% Joe Horn for the Saints.

Lots of people seem to think the Saints are the best chance for the NFC to win the Super Bowl. I think this is backwards.

I think the Saints' median performance might very well be better than the Bears' median performance. But the Bears A game is the class of the NFC IMO, and the only way either NFC team wins is if they bring their A game. I think a Saints Super Bowl ensures a closer big game, but a Bears Super Bowl appearance is the only real chance for the NFC to win.

Thoughts on which team's best is best?

Who did the Bears show their "best" against? The Lions? The Packers? The Seahawks, without SA, at home, during the regular season? All that proved to me was that they are more capable of demolishing inferior opponents.NO's complete dismantling of the Cowboys in Dallas showed what they are capable at the top of their game. They bring that kind of execution to the Superbowl, they're going to win.

New Orleans best was destroying Dallas and the Giants on the road when those two playoff teams really needed to win. I think the Saints best is better.

What's Chicago's best? The team that barely lost at NE because the refs took them out of the game. That team did outplay NE on the road. The team that destroyed the Seahawks early in the season? They haven't polayed that well in awhile. I think the Bears are exactly who we thought they were.

But, if you want to crown their asses, then crown their asses.

I think if Grossman plays at his best and the Bears can get their running game going they can win this game. Their D will be ready. If Grossman chokes their in trouble.

As a Saints fan, I would agree with this. The Saints are a developing team, and they have been more consistent this year than the Bears are. However, when the Bears have hit on all cylinders, they are the best in the NFC.All that will matter is who is the best today starting at 2:00 pm CDT. Geaux Saints Geaux!!!

Good luck, Saints fans.I'm probably rooting for New Orleans, although I really have no interest either way. I'm hoping for a good SB, though, and I do think the Saints will give us that. But I think the odds of New Orleans beating either AFC team is very long indeed. The Saints are 1-3 against the AFC North, with a -30 scoring differential. The Bears are 2-2 against the AFC East, with a +21 differential.
