Stepping in is a major decision. You have to be prepared for the mob to turn on you and the consequences. You can't just start cold cocking 15 year old girls which would probably worse for you anyway. So you got to take some of the beating for the victim. For some it is a easy decision for others it is not.

My strongest condemnation not only for those directly involved, but for those who had the power to intercede and did not.
That is a sick subculture that tolerates, or in some instances encourages, this behavior. Punishment should be swift and harsh. Only after such should there be efforts at re-education and rehabilitation, or re-socialization, though initial socialization to the norms of the predominant society rather than to this dysfunctional and deviant subculture may be a more apt description.

Was more a statement of Society in general and the type of people that frequent McDonalds establishments, but you're welcome to make it about race if you'd like. That's on you though.
Bottom line is the mob mentality among today's kids is exacerbated by an odd desire to completely destroy others (be it via harassment/bullying on social media, or physically beating people nearly to death. I know it's easy to default to "kids these days" but I don't remember this #### when I was that age, and that wasn't THAT long ago...
Just frustrating that this sort of crap is no longer surprising. Another in a long list of reasons why I carry. If I'm somehow ever on the receiving end of something like this, at least I'll have a means of leveling the odds of the fight.

Yep all I'm thinking while watching is how I'd grab the girl who was kicking the downed girl at the end and just hold her to the ground or something, but then her 4 boyfriends would come out of nowhere and there'd be 2 unconscious people getting kicked in the head.
Hard to watch that video though and not tense up a little.

Obviously things vary but I grew up in a very working class town in MA and there were fights almost every day at my school throughout Junior high and high school. Heck, the big thing to do was to get drunk and hang out at McDonald's on the weekends. There were fights that would break out. Granted, most of them were not a group beating the crap out of one kid but it did happen on occasion.I've been witness and participated in some beatings in my years. Don't quite recall many if any like this one.

Sorry, this is a poor black trash culture thing. It is exacerbated by poverty, and poor white trash likely does similar ####, but not cooperating with police, cheering it on, and trying to turn it into a paycheck? Straight outta the poor black trash playbook.
This does not represent the black race any more then Northern Florida represents the white race. But it has all the calling cards of poor black trash.

If my wife, mom or dad were there I don't think I'd want them to get involved (physically). It sucks that this girl got beat like she did and that multiple people jumped in, but the article says she went there to fight and threw the first punch.

Fights were somewhat common, but other kids would have stepped in on a gang beat down like this. At least where I was from. Yep. I saw some ### beatings but once it got completely one sided, folks stepped in. If a fight was between two folks and a bunch more jumped in, they were generally ostracized and/or pulled out of the fight. If they weren't, it was stopped before #### got out of control. Look, I am being honest - to me, this does not represent "Black culture" it represents poor black trash. The people in this video are trash. They show it by their actions, not by their race or color or anything. Just like the people in the police reports for northern Florida are trash.
Neither group represent a group larger than themselves. The actions in this video are not indicative of black people. They are indicative of poor black trash, how that group acts, the values it shows, and the actions that group typically takes.

Clearly no. He does however accurately represent poor white trash culture, which centers around lack of education, meth, and poor choices in facial hair. Same goes for these folks and poor black trash.
