Beckham or Evans for L.Miller + Crabtree + D.Prescott - WHIR (1 Viewer)

Hello,

This is for a 14 team standard league, where I've already made the playoffs.

I'm looking for the best possible weeks 14-16 schedule for my team.

Should I trade my:

  • L.Miller (@Ind, Jax, Cin)
  • B.Cooks (@TB, @Ari, TB) OR M.Crabtree (@KC, @SD, Ind)
  • Dak Prescott (@NYG, TB, Det) OR Derek Carr (@KC, @SD, Ind)

To receive:

  • O.Beckham (Dal, Det, @Phi) OR M.Evans (NO, @Dal, @NO)

Should I make this trade? If so which iterations would you accept?

As always, post a link and I will respond to your thread.

Here is the team in question:

7-4 Record - 14 Team Standard league (1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1Flex, K, Def, 6Bench)

QB - D.Carr, D.Prescott

RB - D.Murray, L.Miller, T.Rawls, D.Lewis, D.Henry, K.Dixon

WR - M.Crabtree, B.Cooks, T.Lockett

TE - J.Reed, T.Eifert

I am not so sure I would make that deal as it leaves you with a really bad flex spot.  You will be playing one of Lewis, Lockett, or Dixon every week.  Without the trade you are playing Miller over one of those guys.  So is the downgrade of Miller to Lewis/Lockett/Dixon worth the upgrade of Cooks/Crabtree to Evans?

I would look to trade Dak for an upgrade at WR as this doesn't hurt your other positions.

I can put TE's in my flex in this league, so I would still have Reed/Eifert in my TE/Flex.

My lineup would look like:

QB:Carr RB1:D.Murray, RB2:Rawls, WR1:O.Beckham, WR2:B.Cooks, TE:Reed, Flex:Eifert

Not saying this makes it an easy decision, as I'm still debating if I should accept the trade or not.

Thats an awful lot to give up for an upgrade at WR, and it's not a guaranteed surefire no brainer you just bought yourself a weekly stud upgrade either.  Beckham still has games like last week where he only goes for 50 yards and no TDs.  Evans is the same way.  To me they're not a huge upgrade over Cooks.  They tend to go boom a little more often than Cooks does, but all it takes is one bad week of 4/47/0 in the playoffs and you're screwed.  They're not worth selling Cooks AND Miller for.

If the other owner is QB needy, then Dak + Cooks for OBJ or Evans should be enough to get the deal done.  If he absolutely wont do the deal unless you give him a RB, then I wouldn't go higher than Rawls/Lewis, and I'd probably change the deal to Dak/Lewis/Crabtree for Evans.  Dak is a bigger bargaining chip than I think you're giving him credit for, especially in a 14 team league.  Everyone says QB is deep in fantasy, but there are not 14 QBs that I'd want to start week in and week out in fantasy.  There's about 8, and Dak is one of them.

I'd stick to your guns and try to get him cheaper.  As far as which one to target, if you get your choice then I'd take Evans over OBJ just for his playoff schedule.

Your lineup requirements said you need two flexes.  I was already counting playing your two TE's but you still need another one.  That is where Miller vs Lewis/Lockett/Dixon comes into play.  Unless that was a typo and you only need one flex.

I like the chance to get Evans, however I think you are paying too much. I agree with the guy who said you should be taking Miller out of the offer and at MOST putting in Lewis (I think Dak and Cooks for Evans isn't too bad of an offer. If he insists on more I wouldn't go any higher than Lewis or Dixon)
