Ben Franklin says I'm going to the NFC Championship game. (1 Viewer)

Obviously not a Cardinals fanatic but excited about the home state team making the playoffs.

Talked to some friends after the Cardinals/Eagles won. Checked the interest level in going to the game. (I dont know a single Cardinals fan.) Everyone said too expensive and that they would just watch it on TV. I get a kick out of the excitement level of the tailgating experience. I decided, FINE, I will go by myself and at least tailgate in the GREEN lot and see if I can get into an NFC Championship game for $100.

I secured a GREEN parking pass today for $75. (Love the GREEN lot because you actually set-up on a football field just outside the stadium in the grass.) Going to roll three hours north on Sunday morning and be in line waiting for the Green lot to open around nine thirty. Taking a DIRECTV setup, my little red truck, a few beers, a grill, some brats, and some snacks. Ill wear the colors of the home state and decorate my truck with Cardinal flags and such.

Im going to take a $100 bill and wont go into the stadium unless my ticket costs me that or less.

What are my chances of being inside the stadium on Sunday??? :lmao:

If I dont make it in, I will just watch the game in the parking lot and hope that it ends in a huge aftergame party. I really believe however that by at least the end of the first quarter Big Ben will get me in the show.

(BTW, wife and the dudes at work think I'm crazy. What else am I going to do however? The Vikings are out yet another year and I might never get a chance again to see an NFC Championship game. I figure at the worst, it's a good people watching experience and a fun way to see what $100 can buy. Wish me luck even if you hate the idea. :goodposting:

Chances are EXCELLENT. StubHub link atop this page has tickets from $59. Check it out.

Theres not a single ticket to the GAME for less than $200. Parking passes maybe but tickets no.
Wait until kickoffAnyone holding tickets will be looking to unload
Thats kind of what Im thinking. Do you think that people holding tickets will be roaming through the parking lots looking for people that need tickets? Should I make a sign that says I need a ticket? Anyone know if its legal to get a ticket this way?

Before I got my season tickets we did this once or twice a year in GB. (Only we would watch the game in a bar if we couldn't get in) So you are not crazy. Either way I think you will have a good time.I would definately have a sign.

On ebay right now groups of tickets going unsold with no bids. Mostly the buy it now auctions. Some action on the open bidding auctions. Its Tuesday and I really like my chances. :lmao:

This is legal, no problem. People do it all the time. You just need patience. A ticket for that price will almost certainly materialize within the last 10 minutes before kickoff. Be vigilant.I used to get into Bears-Packers games this way up in Lambeau.

I would say 99% chance of success and I think its an awesome idea.

I would make a huge sign for high atop your truck as you can that reads "My $100 for your extra ticket".

no brainer

I will be flying in for Oregon to see this. I am not going to talk about what I paid because I wanted good seats. I would assume if you don't mind sitting in the upper decks you will probably get a last mintute deal for about a buck fifty.

To increase your chances of getting a ticket:1. Make a sign.2. Find a really hot girl to hold the sign for you, so that guys with extra tickets will think that she is the one who will be sitting next to them.

Be sure and mention that you are a FootballGuy and created the "horde the defense" theory of survivor drafting.

and good luck.

Buddy of mine from New York City is a huge Eagles fan and got 50 yardline 25th row seats for $400.

I'm sure you'll be able to get in the door for a hundred bucks, enjoy the game

Thats a 1-100 chance... You show me one place that has anything like that less than 600-700
Im not seeing anything near the fifty for $400. The key to my deal however is that I'm more than willing to wait untill after the game starts. I will also be just fine watching the game in the parking lot. I'll have plenty of good food and drinks. The parking lot I'm in is the mobile home lot on the grass. I have a feeling I wont be out there all alone. :goodposting:

:pokey: Just make sure you slip her some  for her "effort"...

Also curious here as to whether he got in. Interesting that the pre-game thread indicated a sea of green outside the stadium. Once the game kicked off however it was all red. So there might have been a few more Cardinal fans that turned down the profit to see the game.
