I'm appalled at Troupe's total lack of touches this year. Last year TEN lead the league in TE looks, Kinney is hurt, and Troupe is nowhere to be found. Even ex-Longhorn Bo Scaife is getting into the mix, but no Troupe.

Any TEN homers know what is going on here? At times this guy has looked like a total beast, but now he when he has a chance to step up he pulls a Houdini. Or is it more a function of the Titan's inept offense???

And will he get more or less looks when Vince finally takes over?

The offense stinks. Not sure what else there is to it.

After Drew Bennett, this team is a fantasy wasteland.

The physical tools are there with Troupe, but the execution is not. He looked bad in week 1, bobbling an easy catch and turning itinto an interception. He's still getting more targets than Bo Scaife, but Scaife is turning his into much more production, and playing his way into the weekly game plan.

I thought this would be the year Troupe turns into a top 10 TE, but it doesn't seem to be in the cards. He may still have a few huge games, because he's so athletic and is one of the most likely TEs to break a big play in any given week. He's still one of the most talented pass catching TEs in the league, so I wouldn't do anything drastic, especially in dynasty leagues.

What happened? Kerry F. Collins happened to him.
So will his value remain flat or increase when Young takes over? Young seems like the kind of rookie who I could see latching onto a security blanket once he takes the reigns.Anyone know who is getting the majority of VY targets for the limited reps he has seen thus far?

Troupe has definitely disappointed. I've definitely tempered my expectations for this year, but, as noted, I think he still looks good for keeper/dynasty purposes.

I'd say the TEs would get more looks. One note -- the other tight end, Bo Scaife, was VY's TE at Texas for two years.

I knew there was some crossover with VY & Bo @ TX but didn't know they played together 2 full years. Could make Scaife the sneaky TE pickup heading down the stretch.....

Young targetted Scaife heavily on the last drive in week 2. Don't forget that Scaife was his security blanket on key downs at UT in 2004.

I think it could - I recommended picking him up in dynasty leagues last week.

Would you pick him upand drop either Owen Daniels, Dallas Clark Or Tony Scheffler?
Id take him over Daniels.
Can I ask why you think his upside is better than Daniels? I know Daniels plays for the Texans but he has caught a TD pass in the last 2 games. I watched him at WI and always impressed by him. I don't know much about Scaife.

I think Scaife is just a better receiver - Daniels is athletic and an interesting H-back type, but Scaife is pure downfield receiver - only his size puts him at TE - he makes plays most TEs couldn't.

Do you really think at this point that Troupe is the betterlong term hold than Sciafe ? I don't.

thanks Sigmund I don't question your opinions often. So do you still feel that Scheffler has what it takes in Denver to be a big play guy? He gets targets but seems to be dropping the ball a lot. I know he is a rookie so I cut some slack on that. I know Clark is fairly talented. It seems strange to carry 3 TE in a dynasty - I will have to cut one next off season - we go from a 40 man to a 30 man roster. Which 2 TE's would you want for next season? Sorry for the slight hijack. If Scaife can help me more than Daniels this season, I'd drop Daniels. That way I can play the matchups between Clark and either Scaife or Daniels as I let Scheffler age on the bench.

Scheffler and Clark have more upside than Scaife, unless Scaife does something he couldn't do at Texas, stay healthy for a long stretch of time.

My TE waiver wire for this week drops Wiggins and requests players in the following order:

1. Eric Johnson

2. Bo Scaife

3. Owen Daniels

I will tell you this and you can disagree, Troupe is coming. He was targeted plenty in the Miami game, and he was missed or dropped passes.

I watch the ShortCuts each week just to get an idea of what players really have going on. And Troupe was very active.

I was considering dropping him for Eric Johnson, but won't after watching him. As for Sciafe, he was not targeted much, but was productive when he was. That's always shaky, Troupe is the #2 Wr on this offense right now.

As usual, Sig is all up on this. As a Troupe fan, Big XII guy and new Nashville local, I'm following this pretty closely. Scaife is simply outperforming Troupe right now. Part of that is attributable to the coverage, Troupe is keyed on more, but Scaife has performed while Troupe simply has not. IMO, Troupe will get things turned around, but with Scaife taking targets, I'm dropping Troupe in my rankings, just out of the top 10, but still a good #2 / bye week filler. Tennessee has shown for the past few years now, that they love using 2 (or more) TEs, and frankly, their top 2 receivers are their TEs. I'm not entirely sure what happens when Kinney is ready to play, but if you can get a TE like Clark or Scheffler instead of Troupe or Scaife, I'd probably do it.

Well I already have Scheffler and Clark - I was looking at a 3rd TE for this year as Scheffler is still not producing. Most weeks Clark is my starter so I was looking for a bye week and injury fill in. I had Owen Daniels - dropped him for Scaife - we'll see if that was a wise move or not. Next year I hope not to carry 3 TE's. Figuring that Clark and Scheffler will be my TE's. Thanks for the great information!
