Bengals may also be after Marshall (1 Viewer)

As a Palmer owner in one of the dynasty leagues, I would love this. Though I do have Hasselbeck in my other dynasty league so going to Sea will help him too.

Hmm...seems a bit different than the claims you have on that other board while bashing Seattle for trying to make this move.

I agree. I lurk over at that other board and all this Sweetness guy does is bash the Seahawks. Now he admits to owning Hasselbeck and wanting Marshall to play there? What a major hypocrite.

I see so many references to "that other board"...WTF...I'm so clueless...what other board? There are tons. PM if necessary.

BM would be a nice addition to the Bengals..Chad is getting a little long in the tooth. Marshall could take over the #1 WR spot and leave some room for Ocho to roam.

via Joe Reedy, he thinks it's just alot of talk so Seattle will offer a higher offer sheet.
How does Cincy benefit by running up the price on Marshall? I can see how Denver would want to run up the price but Cincy?

Florio at PFT offered what might be a more realistic take. That the Bengals "discussing" Marshall might be a way to drive DOWN the price for TO or Bryant. Then again, it at least COULD be possible that they figure if they have to pay a ton for a receiver that they may as well get Marshall. Though, obviously, that goes fully against the grain of the Mike Brown history. When you put on top of it that Mike Brown was one of two owners who voted against this CBA and thought it would lead to salary escalation, well, it just seems ridiculous that he would turn around and dole out a huge money contract.-QG

I don't think Joe meant the bengals are running up the price, I'm guessing he thinks it's more of a rumor that may have been started to get Seattle to put out a higher offer.

 Mike Brown is way too cheap to do something like this, the fact that he thinks other teams aren't aware of that is just silly. He's wasting everyone's time by even letting something like this leak.

Oh ok. That makes more sense. I was just reading over at ESPN that the Jets may think abut getting involved. If so, I would think Denver WOULD, as opposed to what Mike Lombardi has said, negotiate a deal with Seattle becasue if the Jets give the Bronocs what they want, a 1st round pick, it's only pick # 29 vs say getting pick # 14 from Seattle in a negotiated deal.
