Went with Orr simply because I like the Cars a heck of lot better. "Cold As Ice" and "Bye Bye Love" are my votes. "Cold As Ice" might be a throwaway I'd have to think more about.

Orr's vocals are my favorite. I think he has had a sexy voice.

"Blue Morning, Blue Day" or "Long, Long, Way From Home" are my favorite Gramm vocals.

"All Mixed Up" is my favorite Orr vocal.

Wow. If it had been Ocasek instead of Orr, I would vote Gramm all day long. But Orr actually had some warmth to his vocals, while Ric was way too "ironic" and "post-modern"-smarmy for my taste.

Gramm was more conventional for an AOR band at the time - hard not to hear Roger Daltrey & Paul Rodgers when he sings. Ben was more like Paul or Stevie Wonder, even if didn't mean - it he sounded like he did.

I'm-a vote Gramm because "Urgent" is the best song either band did.

Ric knew he couldn't sing, and deferred to Ben for their "better" songs.

I'm shocked. I like Orr much better but Gramm has the more typical lead singer "voice" of that time. (voted Orr)

"Drive" is a long time favorite for me.

"Hot Blooded" is comical.

Always was a big Orr fan, both for his soulful voice and his very strong bass work with the Cars.

That said, Gramm has one of the most recognizable and strong voices in classic rock history, so on lead singing alone, I would give him the nod here.
