Bernard Pollard (1 Viewer)

I saw that Bernard Pollard got into the KCC vs ARI game yesterday at SS and had 2 solo tackles. Pollard's a huge hitter and I understand that Sammy Knight may have started to lose a step.

What's the word out there on whether Pollard will take over at SS for KCC before end-of-year?

The SS position @ KCC seems be a key fantasy producer.

To expand on all of this - Page was starting at one point I though and has seemed to dropped off the map so what is the read on the safties for KS? I know in the off season it was thought Page and Pollard would end up being the FS and SS - and that it was somewhat of a surprise that Page started before Pollard. Any homers know the situation or sharks know anything more to this?

Not a KC homer, but I think you have the story about right. Page didn't start, iirc, but he's been coming in at SS ahead of Pollard. No change in that yesterday. Pollard blocked a punt and had a solo in kick coverage. He made one solo playing with the defense (in the 4th quarter). Page was on the field with the first team D in the first quarter, and with Sammy Knight. Pollard is clearly fourth in the pecking order, 3rd at SS.

I wouldn't expect the safety situation in KC to change this year. The two of them will be coming off the bench, being used in the obvious passing downs and to spell the starters. The Chiefs are low on CBs right now so one or both might see the field than they normally would as a result.
