Bert Berry (1 Viewer)

He played and at the end of the game and had a near sack on Smith where the QB flipped the ball out at last minute

Thanks - maybe I should be thinking twice about starting him again. That goose egg really hurt.
It happens with DLs from time to time. Kerney got blanked yesterday. Freeney had one assisted tackle. You could drop Berry and grab Brian Young. He had a nice day. ;) Btw, I watched portions of SF AZ, and Jonas Jennings looked worth the franchise LT money before hurting his ankle. Berry doesn't face an opponent like this every week, but OPace and WJones are coming up the next two weeks. I'll be keeping my eye out for Berry on the waiver wire. His run at the sack title begins in week 4.

It's a dynasty league so I won't be dropping Berry but perhaps I should hold off starting him for a couple of weeks. Thanks for the heads up!

I had Chike who had a big fat zero as well. What gives when the two starting DE's get zero points?

Not to mention I also had Kerney!

:barf:

With the Gamebooks now tracking QB Hurries, we might be able to catch a glimpse of what happened in cases like this.

Berry was credited with three QH even though he went without a tackle or sack. While it doesn't help us fantasy wise (until we start rewarding for QH), it does show that he was active and getting pressure on the quarterback. Much better than having a guy who just plain doesn't show up in the boxscore.

Kerney got blanked ? I thought he left the game in the 1st quarter with a arm injury
This morning I read Kerney was hurt in the first quarter, but came back and played most of the game. Not sure about the accuracy of that report but it was standard Atlanta sports page game reveiw stuff.

Bert Berry-DE for ARZ posted 0 tackles last week. Does anyone know if he played the whole game or why he had such a bad game? He was pretty consistent last year.

Another goose egg so far. I almost replaced him with Ryan Denney today, but since he played last week, I kept him in the lineup.

Anyone see him play this year so far? I can't recall if he had a recent setback coming off the injury he had previously- wasn't that two years ago anyways?

i think berry owners are going to have to play the matchups this year. berry switched sides and is now going up against better competition as typically the LT is the teams best o lineman. this week with pace doubtfull, he should get back on track with a nice game. hopefully anyway.

September 23

St. Louis Post-Dispatch: "Barring a setback before Sunday's 3:15 p.m. kickoff, left tackle Orlando Pace is expected to be in the starting lineup when the Rams square off against Arizona at Cardinals Stadium."

feel free to downgrade Berry for this week

Bulger has been sacked 9 times and 6 of those were while Pace was playing. I think it will be a feeding frenzy on him once again. I just am not sure what the deal with Okeafer and Berry is. Did they switch sides. If so has Berry ability dropped that much?? I hope not, I just picked him up yesterday.

If I recall correctly, he had three quarterback hurries in his first game. I might just have my used-to-be stud goggles on though. This has been known to happen.

I have no choice but to start him, already have Abraham and Kerney (no Abe = suck) benched.

He looked like an impact player last season before his injury, lets hope he gets back on track today :banned:

Any further thoughts on Berry?

He had been pretty good the last 3 years, but I'm starting to think he's not going to be the same post-injury.

If he's not getting sacks, he's not worth having, and right now, he's averaging under 2 tackles a game. Not having Sunday Ticket, i don't see the Cards much, so does anyone see any reason things might improve soon?

If Berry moved over to RDE and now faces the better OL, you'd expect Okeafor to have better numbers, but its not happening.

Okeafor put up a goose egg but at least had 2 QHs. Dude was putting up about 3 tackles a game and a sack every other the last 3 years. He's way below that pace so far. :(
