thanks. The Cardinals are going to be hard to read until the preseason. It initially appeared that the 3-4 would be a changeup front. However, beat writer Kent Somers implied that the Cardinals may be a predominantly 3-4 team already. We'll see what happens in their preseason games. If there's anything to the new NFL policy requiring teams to release accurate depth charts and the Cardinals do intend on morphing into a 3-4 defense, both Berry and Chike Okeafor may end up being listed as LBs yet. Still, I'd guess that those two and Brett Keisel have the greatest likelihood of getting a bunch of snaps at LB despite a DL designation.
Depending on how the league services classify Berry and Okeafor, which we won't know for a long time.I rode Adalius Thomas at DL three years ago and Bryan Thomas last year. I snagged Berry in a couple of leagues this offseason; we'll see how he's classified. Currently it's still DE, but that means nothing this early. So who gets a value bump due to the Cards shift in defense? To me it seems as if Dansby is the only one whose value jumps (shifting from SLB to ILB), Hayes stays the same, and everyone else drops.
You're saying DT when you mean DE, right?I dont think Keisel will get many snaps at OLB, last I read he is a DT(starting). The Steelers still have some LBs left after Porter, and they did draft 2 OLBs with their first 2 picks this year.Berry is not much an OLB, he is a DE in a 4-3, but I think he is big enough to play a DT in a 3-4. Kind of like Aaron Smith with Pitts. Berry, Chike and Kiwanuka will be guys worth keeping an eye on in camp. If Berry and or Chike move to OLB, I think it might hurt their value, sacks anyway. Kiwanuka could be a solid OLB, but NYG runs a 4-3 I thought? Still, worth watching their progress/situation.
He must. Because aint no way he moving Hampton out of the line up.You're saying DT when you mean DE, right?I dont think Keisel will get many snaps at OLB, last I read he is a DT(starting). Good trade for you in my opinion. Getting rid of a player you are likely to cut is always good. Small trades are underrated.Made an offer to get Erasmus James for Betrand Berry in my dynasty league. My view is that Arizona looks to be moving to the 3-4 and moving Berry to OLB. I am not convinced he can play that position and if he can it will likely take at least a year for him to adjust. I might as well look to get a younger guy whose value is low. James injury looks to be on the mend. He could have upside, if he does not pan out then I can drop him. It is a better gamble in my opinion than Berry and I would end up having to drop him anyways as well.

That makes sense. Pace has some experience from last season at SLB, so he'd be more of a natural conversion to 3-4 OLB this season than Berry, who hasn't played LB for a really long time.Word is Pace, who was active in pre-training-camp activities, could really push veteran Bertrand Berry, who has yet to strut his stuff this offseason, for one of the team’s OLB roles
