Best app for Calorie Tracking - Protein Fat etc. Alternative to MyFitnessPal (1 Viewer)

barcode scanning is a plus. MFP doesn't show protein from what ive seen. Im trying to track calories and gain muscle. MFP doesn't allow me to calculate calories burned during workouts only cardio

Features are all great, but all of these tracking apps are only as good as their databases.  MFP isn't perfect in that regard, but they do have a feedback mechanism so that users can correct erroneous entries.

Yeah it does.  Might have to go into the settings...but yeah.  I wish it tracked net carbs.  Does it now?  I haven't used it in a while.
Not natively.  If you use it via the web, there is an extension that will track "Net Carbs" (carbs minus fiber, it doesn't track sugar alcohols).  I have it loaded on Chrome, but I'm not sure it's worth the trouble as I already know how to subtract.

Lose It was pretty good when I last used it a few years ago. It has scanning capability, Allows you to manually enter as well. Also lets you log exercise, and will give you a target weight goal and show you your progress for daily calorie goals.

ill check it out but im trying to gain weight. assuming that's only for weight loss?

Sad day for my wife she was close to 700 days entering on MFP when our house flooded this weekend and she lost her streak. :(

I use Yazio and I'm really happy with it. It has a barcode scanner and a huge database for food. In order to track the calories that are burned the app can be synchronized with other apps or devices or you can select something from the database for activities. Apart from calories you can track carbs, protein and fat. This is the link to the app if you're interested: https://www.yazio.com/en/calorie-counter

It can be used for gaining weight just as well as for losing it. You can set the goal that you want to achieve, no matter if it is more or less than you're weighing at the moment.
