best defense for this week 4 ? Cleveland ? (1 Viewer)

Cleveland ?

My co-owner of a team loves this matchup. Oakland is struggling, neither offence is potent, Walther is basically a rookie under center .... less than 9 points scored, no TD's, 2 INT's and a under 250 yards is our prediction.

I think you may be able to do better. Even though the Raiders are awful, the Browns pass rush is still bad. I see maybe one sack from Wimbley and one from maybe McGinest, and maybe one INT. I think Walter will hook up with Moss for a TD, plus one or two FGs from Janikowski. All in all, a pretty average defensive fantasy effort. And this is spoken from a Browns homer. I honestly think the Raiders' D is a better play there this week as Frye takes a lot of sacks.

As much as the Raiders suck, they had a bye week to prepare to play the Browns. If you're a team that's desperate for a win, and you've got two weeks to prepare for Cleveland, you should at least be able to score a few points. I wouldn't be surprised to see them have a "breakout" game for a week, then go back to sucking in week 5.

If the Falcons are available in your league they should be huge against the Cardinals. Warner's on very shaky ground and turnover-prone. The Falcons should be huge for fantasy this week.

I like the Rams as a deeper sleeper. Another one I like this week is Dallas at Tennessee.

our options were limited ....... its a 16 team league and we had the NE Patriots and wasn't happy.

We thought about the Chiefs at home, but rolled with CLE

Time will tell

I'm also playing "defense of the week" in one of my leagues. I've been rotating in those defenses which are playing weak teams like Oakland, Houston, Tenn, Green Bay, Detroit, Cleve, etc.

This week is tough because Oakland and Cleveland play each other and Miami plays Houston. I'm considering picking up Miami or KC at home against the Niners. Like someone else stated, I'm more inclined to go with the Raiders defense in the match-up against Cleveland. There defense really hasn't been that bad.

Well, Cleveland has not been able to run AT ALL, so Frye will have to pass a lot, which will lead to sacks, INTs, and possible INTs for TDs.

However, to play devil's advocate, Frye has been pretty efficient with the ball for a young QB (aside from fumbling a couple of times). Of his five INTs, one bounced off of Edwards hands, one bounced off of Droughns' hands, one was tipped by a Bengal, and if you notice last week's game crushing INT, that was caused by Frye being hit as he was throwing the ball. Only one was a bad decision, his first one vs. the Saints.

That said, for a one week filler, I would go with the following:

1) Oakland

2) St. Louis

3) Cleveland

4) San Fran
