Best draft spot, 1st 2 rounds in random draft (1 Viewer)

Organized Chaos

My local league usues the randomize feature that MFL offers to make the league draft alot more dynamic.

We have been doing this for 5 years now and even though it has its ups and downs, we like it.

Basically, if you arent familiar with MFL, they have alot of options for their draft, we do this:

Based on where you finished last year (12 team redraft), you get to select your first round draft position. 1st gets first choice etc... The first and second rounds are serpentine and every odd round following is random followed by a serpentine even round.

Like I mentioned, it makes for a more dynamic draft.

So, that being said, all you can really count on in this format is the first 2 rounds, and when the 3rd round comes you could be picking first or last!!!

In this setup, what do you think is the best spot to draft from to maximize your first 2 picks?

(for the record, I won this league last year, so I will be left with whatever they give me, but I am interested to hear what others think)

Initially I was thinking that the best positon would be in the 8-12 range as you can get 2 of the top x players available (maybe taget a tier 1WR and a solid RB etc)and still have a random shot at a decent 3rd round pick. Last year I drafted at 3 and took priest (which ended up saving me because I handcuffed LJ at 5.05) and got lucky to have Westbrook last till my spot in the second round.

In this format, what spot would you want to draft from and why?
