You can put it out there against anyone if you want but this team is AVERAGE. Nice RBS, average QB and garbage WRS. That Bears in Z3 is a crazy good team.

I am still building mine! it is a small 8 team league, but fun (we like eight because you get one home and one away game against every team - might be moving to double headers soon). The league is going into it's 11th year. I joined in 2001 taking over a one year expansion team (good year for rookies!)

Starting requirements: 2 QB, 2 RB 4 WR, 1 TE, 2 K, 2 Def, 1 Flex

QB – Manning, Vick, Harrington

RB – Tomlinson, Henry, McAllister, S Jackson

WR – C Rogers, Mason, J Porter, Driver, P Price, B Lloyd

TE – Shockey, Winslow

K – Elam, Vanderjact, Brien

Def – Eagles, Steelers, Seahawks

Here is the full history of my team (drafts, trades, permanent swaps) Team History

This is probably my best dynasty team. I have a balance of proven talent, elite youngsters, and promising projects at every position.

At QB I have the top young passer in the NFL (Roethlisberger). I have three veteran startes (Carr, Favre, McNair). I have three nice projects for the future (Rodgers, McPherson, Henson).

At RB I have two of my top five dynasty backs (K. Jones and McAllister). I have another top 20 dynasty back (J. Jones) and fourth potential starter (Suggs). I have a promising project (Fargas).

At WR I have two top 15 dynasty wideouts (C. Johnson and Boldin). I have another two youngsters with elite skills (Evans and Rogers). I have a decent veteran in Antonio Bryant. I have a promising project (Henry).

I have a top 5-6 dynasty TE (Crumpler). I have a promising backup (Troupe).

This isn't a perfect team. I could use another good RB and a better short term starter at QB. However, I think this is an excellent overall squad. The first few seasons were rough, but I'm very happy with what I have.

Last year was our leagues 11th year, 12 teams, no entry fee (only pride on the line). its not a true dynasty, but we essentially protect 14 of our 22 players each year. 4 teams make the playoffs...I missed the playoff with this lineup (notable backups in parens)D. CulpepperL. Tomlinson, C. Martin (K. Jones, C. Dillon)C. Johnson, J. Horn, C. ChambersR. McMichaelN. KaedingB. Ravensif Kaeding doesnt miss a FG week 14 (or Elam misses one of his) I make the playoffs and win it all. arggghgh.Sorry had to vent.

I'd put my dynasty team up against it, but there's another team in my dynasty league that's probably even better. I'll give mine first than the other team. Starting requirements; 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 RB/WR flex, 2 WRs, 1 WR/TE flex, 1 TE, 1 PK, 1 DT. 12 team league, 3rd season. My team:QB...McNabb (Brooks and Big Ben behind him)RB...Shaun and Priest (Lee Suggs and whoever I get with rookie pick 1.03 behind them)WR...Javon Walker, Lee Evans, Charles Rogers (McCareins, McCardell, Reggie Williams, Clarence Moore and whatever rookie I get at 1.06 behind them)TE...Eric Johnson (had Witten, but traded him for Eric, McCardell and a 1st round rookie pick next season; might target Heath Miller with rookie pick 2.01)PK...AkersDT...Bucs, Jets or LionsOther team (preseason favorite IMO):QB...Kerry Collins (Pennington behind him)RB...Ahman Green, Dom Davis (Julius Jones and Dunn behind them)WR...Chad Johnson, Darrell Jackson, Reggie Wayne (Chambers, Calico, Toomer and Lloyd behind them)TE...Chris Cooley (Freddie Jones behind him)PK...KasayDT...Seahawks or Coltsowns rookie pick 1.09Down the road, with 2 top 6 picks and 3 of the top 13 in this year's rookie draft and 2 first rounders and 2 second rounders in next year's rookie draft, my team has the potential to dominate. But right now the other team is probably better, especially depth wise.

Initial draft in 2002 with SIXTEEN teams. Went 16-1 last season with this squad:QB:D. Culpepper (trade for McNabb & M. Robinson in 2002)C. Palmer (trade for K. Winslow after 2004 draft)J. Kitna (trade for some backup RB in 2003)RB:C. Portis (trade for 2005 1st, 2006 2nd, M. Moore, O. Smith, J. Harrington in 2004)L. Johnson (drafted in 2003)C. Brown (drafted in 2003)K. Barlow (drafted in in 2002)WR:R. Moss (trade for L. Jordan in 2002... yes, the owner is still pissed)C. Johnson (drafted in 2002)L. Fitzgerald (drafted in 2004)S. Smith (FA pickup in 2002)T. The two teams that left had their player re-entered into the draft pool. Here is my 2005 draft:Cedric Benson #4Cowboys DT #25Frank Gore #29Maurice Clarett #33Vernand Morency #43Chis Cooley #63 (traded away William Green for this 5th round pick)If you are wondering how these players dropped, here are the players that were left from the teams that departed:A. Right, I see you traded Lamont Jordan for Randy Moss.See, your opponent fits under that last criterion I mentioned.

I haven't assembled one that good but I'm sure Rob Z has... ;)

Actually, if these were redraft leagues, I'd agree...but it's possible to build a powerhouse team in a dynasty league. Heck, Manning wasn't going until the 3rd round in most Zealot leagues last year...Now he's going as high as top 5.I went back and looked at where Gates went in our draft in a startup dynasty draft back in Feb 2004....18th round & 11th TE taken.

Oh, and it wasn't me who took him either. :wall:

4th year dynasty w/salary cap, just expanded to 14 teams, freeQB: Hasselbeck, Pennington, Losman, VolekRB: LT, Deuce, PortisWR: C Johnson, J Walker, McCardell, Watts, BMW, V JacksonTE: Alge, B WatsonK: Akers, J Brown, NugentD: Jets

I've belonged to Eight Is Enough Fantasy Football League (EIEFFL) since 1991. The league was founded in 1978, one of the earliest FF leagues ever. It's considered a keeper league, but since we can freeze up to 10 players each year and keep them as long as you please, it's really a dynasty type situation. We play 17 weeks, head to head, no playoffs. That way the real best team wins, no sudden death playoffs that let a team leap frog up.ASSESSMENTS:· $115 deposit ($15 for software and labels not refundable) due August 19th· $50 initial draft· $5 for trades (each owner)· $5 quarterly drafts· $3 for each player drafted in the quarterly draft· $5 for each player frozen beyond the basic roster of 16 (max – 23)· $20 and $25 for weekly losses and lowest game (when 2 or more tie for lowest game of the week they each will pay the $25)· $50 for the lowest game of the year (ties result in each owner paying the full amount)· $50 for most low games during the season (ties result in each owner paying full amount)PAYOFF CONFIGURATION: The following amounts will come from weekly losses and initial draft 1st place $925 2nd place $505 3rd place $345The following side pool payoffs will be funded by the quarterly drafts, trades, most low games, and lowest game of the year and roster expansions. Most total points of season 1/3Highest game of the season 1/3Longest TD of the season 1/3=======================================It took me several years to catch on how to make this work against strong players, but I've finished first 4 out of the last 5 years. Here is my team. I'll freeze ten and try to trade Barber for the best draft pick I can get.QBPeyton Manning (obtained in trade his rookie year)Daunte Cullpepper (drafted as a rookie in the 11th round)RBShaun Alexander (drafted in his rookie year)Deuce McAllister ( drafted in his rookie year)Lamont Jordan (picked up late last year in quarterly draft)Tiki Barber (trade bait for draft pick this year)WR/TERandy Moss (traded Ahman Green and Holt for him + draft pick)Marvin Harrison (drafted in his rookie year)Terrell Owens (drafted in his rookie year, traded away and then back)Michael Clayton (drafted in his rookie year)Antonio Gates (picked him up in a quarterly draft)Place kickers and defenses are a crap shoot every year, but I manage to get one of the top 5 in each of these positions.

i dont know what you consider dynasty but im in a 12 team, 7 player per year keeper leaguehere's my projected 7 keepers going into this seasoni've had the team since 2001 and made some pretty decent deals i'd sayQB - Vick (cutting Leftwich)RB - Tomlinson, Deuce, Steven Jackson, Tatum Bell (cutting William Green )WR - Steve Smith, Chad Johnson ( cutting Charles Rogers, Chris Chambers, Antonio Bryant, Eric Moulds )TE - Had Gonzalez, traded him last year for a 1st rounder this yearK - (cutting Longwell)I have 3 first round picks in the rookie/free agent draft this year, 5, 6, and 7we dont allow pickups during the season, you go with what you draft unless you cant field a team due to injury, then you can pick up free agents to fill in the weeksbeen to the championship game once and lost thanks to a 60 point week from clinton portis in 02been to the playoffs every year but i get bounced due to back luck/hotter team$100 per team12 teamsthis will be my 5th season in the league

All I know is that some of you must play with some total MORONS. I don't care how good you think you are, some of those rosters are built off of the stupidity of your league mates! AMAZING. I Could get Rich off Fantasy football if i played in leagues with people that stupid!

I commish a 12 team dynasty league, $25 entry fee (though both may change this year). Someone else put together the following team and has only lost one game the last two years, leading the league in scoring both years.Standard scoring, start 1 QB, 2RB, 3 WR, 1 KI, 1 DTQB CulpepperRB Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson, Shaun Alexander, Kevin Jones, Willis McGaheeWR Marvin Harrison, Chad Johnson, Coles, Michael Clayton, Roy WilliamsKI WilkinsDT RavensA few people made horrible trades with him several times. Some just don't understand the value of a high 1st round pick. The most recent deal was someone trading Chad Johnson and 1.2 (or 1.3?) to him for Ashley Lelie and Donte Stallworth last year.We had three owners quit last year because they got sick of everyone doing dumb trades with him. I'm instilling a salary cap this year for keepers. We had trade voting our first year but people hated it.

The beauty of dynasty is that you can craft a great team if you're patient and you make good decisions. I think the team I posted above is very nice. That doesn't mean my league mates are dumb or that that the league is soft. Here is a list of my best players broken down by how I acquired them. This is a 12 team league. The initial draft took place after the 2003 NFL draft. Initial Draft

Deuce McAllister (1.04)

Charles Rogers (4.03)

Chad Johnson (5.01)

Anquan Boldin (22.09)

Rookie Draft

Kevin Jones (2004 1.01 - traded 1.04 and 1.10 for this pick)

Lee Evans (2004 2.01 - traded Rudi Johnson (waiver pickup) for this pick)

Trades

Ben Roethlisberger (2005 offseason - traded Chris Brown and Drew Bennett for Big Ben. I took Brown at 9.04 in the initial draft and Bennett at 12.09)

Alge Crumpler (2005 offseason - traded rookie 1.04 and Tyrone Calico for rookie 1.08 and Crumpler. Calico was my 14.09 pick in the initial draft)

Julius Jones (2004 midseason - for Jake Delhomme. This was when JJ was hurt and in the doghouse. Delhomme was my 16.09 pick in the initial draft)

That's it. Building a good team is not about stupidity. It's about being crafty and taking smart risks. You'll notice that I was able to turn many of my initial draft picks into value. Calico, C. Brown, Delhomme, Bennett, and other guys like Santana Moss (10.09 in initial draft) are no longer with my squad, but they allowed me to acquire Roethlisberger, J. Jones, Crumpler, and Q. Morgan (who has since busted). I also found Boldin late in the draft and was able to get some value for other late picks like Taylor Jacobs and Todd Bouman.

Again, it's not about stupidity. It's about knowing when to push your assets and knowing who to push for.

Julius Jones is a great example. I got him for Jake Delhomme last year when he was hurt. On the surface that might look like robbery, but it was just a matter of being crafty. The JJ owner was doing well (without JJ) and needed QB help. Delhomme was playing well. My team was not. I saw an opportunity to take a gamble on a future talent by losing a player that I didn't need. So far it's worked out great. For the record, the Delhomme owner ended up in the playoffs, so he didn't do too bad either.

Building a great dynasty team requires a keen sense of value and a good ability to pluck winners from the rookie draft. This past offseason I dealt Drew Bennett and Chris Brown for Ben Roethlisberger. It sounded like a horrible deal at the time, but I didn't need Brown or Bennett and I thought (and still think) that Roethlisberger is a once-a-decade QB. I pulled the trigger on the deal. It's too early to say who won, but Brown's value has already dropped. I suspect that five years down the road I may look like the clear winner here.

If you can consistently sell high and buy low then you're going to separate yourself from your leaguemates very quickly. The key is knowing who's for real and who's not. If you can accurately judge players then you can make the moves necessary to trim the fat and trade it for budding stars.

Right now there are guys who are grossly overrated and underrated. It doesn't matter if your league is full of "sharks." I can guarantee that they're still making a bunch of bad picks and value judgements. If you can take advantage of that then you're going to do well. Eventually you might end up with the dream dynasty team. That's my goal. One day I want to have a squad that's equivalent in value to something like this:

QB - Manning

RB - Tomlinson

RB - McAllister

RB/WR - Alexander

WR - Moss

WR - Owens

TE - Gonzalez

Will I ever get there? I don't know, but I seem to come closer each year. That's what's great about dynasty. You can really build a monster squad. It adds a ton of challenge and it's probably the only reason why I keep playing.

Here's one for ya. It ain't mine but I've gotta play against it.....

QB: Manning (Leftwich)

RB: McAllister, K. Jones (Bell, Suggs, Shelton)

WR: Harrison, Walker, Johnson (Burress, Ry. Williams, Calico)

TE: McMichael (E. Johnson, Watson)

PK: Akers (none)

D: New England (Atlanta)

That'll hurt ya all year long!!!!!

6th year Dynasty ? (I'm a replacement)

Free

12 Teams
That would be my team :D You forgot Larry Johnson.Actually, this will be the 4th year.

Take a look at the initial drafs in 2002, both veteran and rookie. Portis went in the 2nd rd in the initial rookie draft. When the league was first created, stats were done manually and posted at this site. My team was 59 Colts at the time.

Take a look, it should be entertaining.

If/When you get there, league activity really slows down. I'm pretty much there after 6 years of drafting and trading in a 10 team league. Not a big league but a solid league none the less. We keep 10 players from our 20 player roster. Its really, really nice being in this position, but as the talent on your team gets better the less active you are in trading. For 2 reasons: One nobody wants to make you any better and Two, Why mess with a good thing? We have a cap of 17 roster years and I just had to trade P. Manning to get under the cap. I traded Peyton and Burress for McNabb and A. Johnson. Turned around and traded A. Johnson, R. Droughns, C. Palmer and the 1.6 pick (aquired last year) for CPEP and Burleson. Now I'm back under my years requirement for the year, but next year I'll have 10 roster years wrapped up in my 3 rbs, so I'll be pretty active next offseason. QB - CPep

QB - McNabb

RB - LT2

RB - SA

RB - Portis

RB- Maurice Morris

RB - M. Turner

WR - CJ

WR - Burleson

TE - Gonzo

I have the 2nd pick which will be used on C. Benson or R. Brown. Over the years I have drafted and traded the likes of P. Manning, R. Moss, M. Harrison, Edge, J. Lewis, McNabb (then reaquired), McGahee, Barlow ( :bag: ), Staley, Vick, C. Palmer, etc. I have never really had luck drafting WRs so I stick to RBs mostly and trade for WRs. We only have to start one at each position with 2 flex positions. So most of the time I start 3 rbs and don't look back!

This was a team I had from 2 years ago.....and they didn't win!!! Luckily we each run 2 teams in the league and the team that upset this one was my other team.14-team league, $60 entry ($30 for each team), 3rd year of a 3-year cycle of keepers. We draft 1 year, keep players for the next 2 seasons, then re-draft. We started 2 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 RB/WR, 1 TE, 1K, and we did IDP (which I won't bother to list)QB- Culpepper and Hasselbeck RB- Tomlinson and PortisWR- Holt and C JohnsonRB/WR- F TaylorTE- McMichaelK- Wilkins or VanderjagtI had drafted Culpepper and Tomlinson in earlier years....Tomlinson as a rookie. I had traded for Portis the year before.....right before he went off. Then I drafted Holt, McMichael and the kickers for this season and traded for Hasselbeck and Taylor. I had Bulger and Brooks at QB as well, and another guy had his 2nd QB get injured and he loved Aaron Brooks so I traded those 2 to get Hasselbeck and Taylor. My other team that upset this team in the playoffs had McNair (when he got on fire that year), Ahman Green, Moss, and a real solid defense with Ray Lewis and Michael Strahan.

Here is the team I won my 3-year contract league with in '02 and how I aquired them, with their end of year fantasy position rank.QB - Culpepper (aquired in '00) ff rank - 1QB - Brooks (aquired in '00) ff rank - 5 QB - Vick (rookie draft '01) ff rank - 3RB - Tomlinson (rookie draft '01) ff rank - 2RB - Alexander (rookie draft '00) ff rank - 6WR - Harrison (aquired via trade '01) ff rank - 1WR - Horn (aquired via trade '01) ff rank - 8WR - Toomer (aquired '00) ff rank - 4TE - Crumpler (aquired via trade '02) ff rank - 8

6th year dynasty. 10 teams. $50 entry.

QB - Manning, Delhomme, McNair

RB - Tomlinson, Alexander, Portis, McGahee, Gore

WR - Owens, Harrison, Holt, Walker, Jackson

TE - Heap, Witten, Johnson

K - Vanderjagt, Elam

D - Ravens, Bengals
OK, you win.
