Best individual ff performance all time? (1 Viewer)

best thing about one of those Shaun Alexander games was when they let the Vikings owner do the play by play on one of his 80 yard TDs.

Vick against the Redskins game has to be the #1 of all time. Based on how many people played fantasy at the time, on a monday night, Vick was a waiver wire guy, part of a mythical season, ect.

For those more interested in my message board name

When I was trying to come up with a name this is the song that was playing on the radio in the background I didnt even like the damn song but I heard it and went with it

It's certainly not as cool ad Joffer or Clifford??

Wow you must he a female is that what you really worried about Your period?
...says hotboyz
Lol hotboyz come from title of a Hiphop group I created that name 10 yrs ago What's with all these so called football fans running around worried about grammar and punctuation. Let me guess you drink your beer using a coaster you Probaly eat with ya napkin tucked in ya shirt to protect your pretty tie. This is sports talk man the hell up. Sure you guys are a fun group to hang out with if. I bet at your tailgate party there's cheese and wine! Smdh
Hotboyz? Was this hip-hop group of a certain sexual persuasion, or just a team of strippers? Both?
Lol. This board is really out of ouch. Hotboyz is from new Orleans/lil Wayne/cash money line of artists. You have probably watched other people dance at a wedding to them. Lil Wayne and Juvenile were two of the 4 memebers of HOTBOYZ.But to be totally legit I believe it should hath been registered as HOT BOY$, though I think Lil Wayne would approve of flipping da script and rocking a juxtaposed Z instead.

Not sure if it has been mentioned but Jimmy Smith had a monster game about 10 years ago or so. I don't have the statline, but he scored 76 points in our league....

Some good ones to go look up:

2009 Week 2 - Chris Johnson

2003 Week 14 - Clinton Portis

2002 Week 4 - Shaun Alexander

1997 Week 16 - New York Jets DEF/ST Unit - Championship Game, with multiple TD's and a ton of defense stats

2010 Week 10 - Vick (already mentioned)

1990 Dec 16th - Warren Moon - 527 Yards and 3 TDs

1986 Sep 21st - Dan Marino 6 TDs vs the Jets

Matt Flynn's career game in Week 17 last year - earned him $26M

I did a quick search and using FBG standard scoring, the greatest single QB game was Joe Kapp in 1969 with a 463 total yard, 7 TD game (50.85 points). Sadly, Flynn's game (47 points) looks like the best since 69. Vick's game (42.1 total points) ranks right up there with the best games from Brady, Manning, Culpepper Marino and a few others. Probably in the 7-12 range.Looking at PPR greatest games ever for a non-QB, Rice had a 65.5 point game, and Portis' 56.1 point game looks top for RBs.I was surprised, but Johnson's 2009 week 2, ended up at 55.4 points and Brandon Marshall's 21 catch game in PPR would have netted 53 points.

Yeah, it's IDP, but James Harrison, week 9 of the 2007 season:

1 Passes Defensed

1 Fumble Recoveries (from Opponent)

3 Forced Fumbles

1 Assists

1 Interceptions

9 Tackles

3.5 Sacked a QB

54 fantasy points

Over the past 10 yrs Portis in '03 & Alexander '02 are the top performances.

The best DST performance over that last decade fantasy wise in most of my leagues is:

Seattle Wk 13 - 2005.

2 Fumble Recoveries (from Opponent)

1 Defensive Fumble Recovery TDs

4 Interceptions

2 Interception Return TDs

0 Opponent Total Points Scored

190 Total Net Yards Allowed

good for 48 pts in my league's scoring system

Special thanks to Eagles QB tandem K. Detmer/M. McMahon 4 pics (2 for td's)

Had Barry Sanders one year in a performance scoring league. He had 3 TD's over 60 yards. That was my best single player score ever.

I go with Jerry Rice's 13 reception, 225 yards, five TD's eruption vs ATL.http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199010140atl.htm
Jimmy Smith's was close, I don't think there's been a better WR performance than this.

Blanda and YA Tittle both had better days. 505 yards and 7 TDs for Tittle. But 418 passing, 7 TDs, and 7 PATs kicked for Blanda, makes Blanda's the best single game fantasy QB performance.

Just giving you a little hell man, don't take it personally. At least you started a group.

These are nice, but what was the total count of individuals who had a fantasy football team in 1962?

Vick definitely is right there in my league it is tied with Portis for the best that I have seen both had I believe 72 points in those games, which as the high player of the year is a pretty good reward because it pays 15% of our waiver pool for the positional high player of the season for one game. Culpepper also was a huge one with that being a fantasy playoff game and if I recall was a 66 point performance.

witten may have just had the best FF performance by a non TD scoring TE in a PPR league. 18 for 180 or something... 18 catches has to be a TE record, no?

yup. breaking his own record.

Witten's previous team record for catches in a game was 15, set in 2007 against Detroit. Witten finished with a career-high 167 receiving yards, the most ever by a tight end in team history. Quarterback Tony Romo targeted Witten 22 times. Witten's 18 catches tied for third-most in a game in NFL history.

An instant classic:

Doug Martin, RB Tampa Bay

Nov. 4, 2012 vs. Oakland: 22 carries, 265 yards, 4 TDs, 21 yard receiving

He has 67 points in my league, which is PPR and has bonuses for long runs. (TD runs of 45, 67, 70)

Could've had an extra point or so (depending on the league) if it wasn't for those last couple runs where Oakland completely sold out and gave him lost yardage.

Has to be this right?http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2010111500/2010/REG10/eagles@redskins#menu=highlights&tab=recap&analyze=boxscore
Are the passing TD's 4 or 6? Shaun Alexander had some back breaking games (Vikings and then again vs. Raiders I think?).
My league had 6pt TDs. I think Vick got me over 60 points.
I still laugh at my coworker about that night, was down 49 points and won by 5. wow
Cool

Clinton Portis, yes, I owned him that year and remember that game very, very well. Unbelievable game. That was certainly my personal best fantasy performance that I've owned over the years.
