Hello all, how are you?

I have a short snow trip coming up. It will only be for 2 or 3 days of actual snow time (snowmobiling, tubing, sledding, etc). I need to buy gloves, boots, coat, etc.  The thing is that I will need this clothing for the trip and then probably not need it for years. So, where do I find inexpensive snow clothing? Amazon? Burlington?

As a thank you, here you go:

if I saw girl #2 in public dressed like that, I would have to find the nearest bathroom ASAP to relieve myself.. that's insane

Honestly, I would buy it on clearance from target or Kohls or wherever you are traveling. It's getting to be the end of the season most places that have snow. Or go to somewhere like goodwill for the coat.

New, decent clothes built for outdoor cold are by definition not cheap.

These are good choices.

Since you're going to snow country during the spring you don't have to worry as much about getting real warm clothes (and spending more money), as you might if you were going in December/January.  You likely will be dealing with wet clothes/socks/boots more so than being cold.

Agree. Go waterproof. Water resistant isn't enough.

Snow by itself isn't that cold.  What are the temps going to be?

Unless it is going to be single digits cold, you probably don't need boots.  I wear tennis shoes all winter (Buffalo).

You could go with waterproof jacket with several layers underneath and be fine.

You'll want good gloves.  Get something with Gore-Tex.  You should also get a decent hat.
