Best Stallone movie after Rocky (1 Viewer)

Cobra

The one with Kirk Russel ?

That would be Tango and Cash

The correct answer is Rocky Balboa, he was perfect in it. Close to the original character, stripped down to his core, fight scene at the end was a little hard to believe but he played the part perfectly.

Wow. This thread was set up perfectly for the shtick answer 'Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot'. Fennis and Broadway tried to take the Tanner route to save the thread, but it was too little, too late

3/5 for originality

1/5 for follow thru

Demolition Man, not even close either.
Definitely my favorite after the Rocky movies. Overall his career has been a bucket of ####.
He's had a lot of bad movies, but a lot of good ones, too. He's had at least on great movie in every decade since the 70s. Assuming he has a great one in the next few years. And I will forgive him almost anything just because he wrote Rocky.

Rocky 1 & 2 were all-time classics. Most of his roles after that were in less serious popcorn movies, action flicks, comedies, etc. The notable exception being Cop Land which was a very good movie and he was good in it. A handful of the rest were reasonably entertaining but hardly anything great, and a few like Cobra and Rocky 5 were egregious. Overall he's a lot closer to Steven Seagal than DeNiro or Pacino IMO. Iconic as an action star but also a bit of a punch line and a caricature.
