The correct answer is Rocky Balboa, he was perfect in it. Close to the original character, stripped down to his core, fight scene at the end was a little hard to believe but he played the part perfectly.

So utterly boring. Well made, well acted but B-O-R-I-N-G, also was not a huge success at the box office. HBO used to like to play that movie in the early 80s.

Such an underrated flick... Murder.Death.Kill, the sea-shells, cursing tickets, etc. so funny

He's had a lot of bad movies, but a lot of good ones, too. He's had at least on great movie in every decade since the 70s. Assuming he has a great one in the next few years.And I will forgive him almost anything just because he wrote Rocky.

Rocky 1 & 2 were all-time classics. Most of his roles after that were in less serious popcorn movies, action flicks, comedies, etc. The notable exception being Cop Land which was a very good movie and he was good in it. A handful of the rest were reasonably entertaining but hardly anything great, and a few like Cobra and Rocky 5 were egregious. Overall he's a lot closer to Steven Seagal than DeNiro or Pacino IMO. Iconic as an action star but also a bit of a punch line and a caricature.
