The reason I ask is that I have the 1.01, 1.03, 1.05 picks in the draft this year and need a QB. I could draft either Quinn or Russell at 1.05 or trade that pick for Leinart or Cutler. Any advice here?

I would trade it for Cutler in a heartbeat.

I would trade the #5 for Leinart or Cutler. Leinart is alittle better option though in my opinion but both of them are worth it.

I would have thought it would take more to get Leinart too.

I agree that it's weird to leave out Young.

My ranking of these guys:

Young

Leinart

Cutler

Russell

Quinn

I value even the few games we've seen of last year's guys over the potential greatness/flopness of this year's guys.

Russell and Quinn probably would've been the #4 and #5 QBs in last year's draft. Why not take one of the guys who would've been ranked ahead of them who's also had a year of experience and some proof of non-bustitude?

All of these guys are overrated IMO. However, I would take Leinart over all of them for one simple reason: Fitz and Boldin. It's that simple. I actually like Schaub and TJax better for the long haul than most of these highly tauted guys.
