better long-term outlook for these OLBs (1 Viewer)

I'm in a deep dynasty league (24 teams, 50 man rosters). I have Calvin Pace (OLB - Arizona), Matt McCoy (OLB - Philadelphia) and Gilbert Gardner (OLB - Indy). I'm going to trade one of them. Who has the best future? I am leaning towards this ranking, but I don't really have a reason. For those of you who have seen them play, what are your thoughts?

1. McCoy

2. Pace

3. Gardner

Thats a tough call. In my 32 man league, I have McCoy and am very happy with him, but don't hold high hopes for the future. I think each of these three guys could easily be replaced/upgraded in the draft next season depending on each teams immediate needs. Of those three teams, IMO Pace is probably the least likely to be replaced by a draft pick (they better pick OL OL OL) , even though he does have Blackstock behind him already.I rank them the same way you do. I wonder what the contract status of each guy is?

24 x 50 = 1200
Yeah, I know. But it's a strat-o-matic league where we have offensive linemen and play games by making actual play calls and stuff. It's pretty cool.

I don't know if you want to change your ranking or use this as fuel for a trade, but with Cato June in the final year of his contract (and Indy's propensity to allow good LB's to walk - see D Thorton, M Washington), there was speculation that Gardner would move to June's WLB position. He was injured his first 2 seasons and IIRC, he was drafted for that role before June was plugged into it.

McCoy is nice, but he can not hold the job. Pace is an injury risk.

Good luck with that league format! Too much for me!

OLD-style stats game. Played with a board, and cards based upon the performance of the players from seasons "allready" completed. Pretty hardcore really...

Not that I'm trying to pimp them or anything... but you'd find there website if you were to google it.

So you do not use real life stats from your players?
Strat-o-Matic is based more on real life stats than typical FF or roto baseball - and frankly it's probably not that close. You use cards (or a computer) to simulates games using cards that show what players did in a prior year. Dynasty Strat-O-Matic is one level beyond Dynasty Fantasy Fotball, at least: Individual players, everywhere. Actual play calling.
