Bump down Brown, can't see this as being a positive if Ben doesn't play or plays injured. This week will be telling.Bump bell
When did it happen in the game? If it was early, seems to be a good sign he can gut it out considering he threw for 432yds and 2 TDs.That sucks =(
Against CIN I don't think they were going to throw a ton anyway.
But Ben did throw a few TDs and a lot of yards after the injury, so that's a good sign. Hopefully the swelling isn't an issue.
I'm not saying he's lying, but what do you expect him to say? "Yeah, my wrist is fractured. Please come gunning for me so it breaks clean off"?

I don't follow the Steelers much. The comments in that article are all over Ben for exaggerating injuries. I've never known that was a thing for him. I've always thought of him as that guy that toughs it out through those injuries.
he hurt is throwing wrist during the gameSomething was definitely up with his non-throwing wrist on Sunday, he was even handing off with the opposite hand when running to that injured side. But he settled down and then got it going, albeit in garbage time.
It is not uncommon for Ben to sit in a Wednesday practice. He did throw with his receivers yesterday.Mort said Big Ben did not practice on "The Insiders" and said Ben said his wrist is not fractured just sore.
Maybe our definition of common is different than mine.It is not uncommon for Ben to sit in a Wednesday practice. He did throw with his receivers yesterday.Mort said Big Ben did not practice on "The Insiders" and said Ben said his wrist is not fractured just sore.
He plays through a lot of injuries. He gets whacked in the Pittsburgh press a lot because he discloses small injuries/ailments that he does play through. He admits to being in pain, basically, instead of pretending to be made of concrete.I don't follow the Steelers much. The comments in that article are all over Ben for exaggerating injuries. Learn something new every day.
This is the question. We aren't going to know the full extent of injury, and we know Ben will try to play through it, sometimes to his and the team's detriment. The guy is super tough and I respect him a lot -- and he can play through pain. But I'm not betting my FF championship on him -- looking for a quality backup myself.Who is the play to back Ben up with in FF playoffs for those of us that only own Ben? Do we chase Fitzpatrick points? Or no worry no cry?
I'm in the same boat. I'm leaning Kaepernick this week because of the matchup. If the 49ers want to salvage their season and have any hope of winning @ Seattle next week, they have to get Kaepernick going. This is the question. Snakebit on QB this year, and pickings are slim. Looking at one week options like Bridgewater (NYJ) and Hill (@WAS) and 3-week options like Alex Smith (@AZ, OAK, @PIT), Fitzpatrick (@JAX, @IND, BAL), and Kaepernick (@OAK, @SEA, SD).
