Big Friday Night Plans!!!!! (1 Viewer)

I remember this one time in college I burned my stump on a Friday.  Kind of ruined my Saturday and Sunday but damn if I didn't put myself in the same situation the next Friday.

Now I'm too old to burn a stump, frankly.

How old are we that most of us think that this is actually quite an interesting Friday night?
My kind of night. Most nights at my house anymore include the fire pit in my driveway, cold beers, and watching a ballgame on the TV in the garage.

Free-Beer Neighbor comes over and tells me stories galore.

I wish I had something like that going on. For me, it's come home from day job, work on side hustle till dinner. Eat dinner. Work side job some more. Help put kids to bed. Work till 9:30-10. Have a couple beers or a bourbon and go to bed. That's pretty much Monday-Thursday. Friday, I'll generally not work the the evening. Sat and Sunday is working side job in between and sometimes during kids games.

Burning Stump was the name of my one-man show on STDs. Critics called it "moist" and "shorter than expected"

Stump is like 3 feet from a 20 foot tall black walnut tree. Any reason for concern here?

Bonfires are the highlight of my social calendar.  Burning a stump would be that wild and crazy twist the neighbor who is a little "out there" would do.

That's Edina man. But most of my clientele - yep. Love making money off the rich... cheers
I know, I'm screwing around. If this is clientele, go for it. I love the image of a cool MN night with tin cup bourbon and burning stumps. Sounds fun.

Wear flannel, it's back in. Or, at least was in '15.

Maybe i missed it somewhere but what is the side business?  Typsy jr?

Started about 1hr ago. Split the stump down the middle with my ax ?

Burning hot now. Sun will be down in a couple hours. By then should be rolling. Snacking on some cashews and High Road (badger hill) blonde ale.

Gonna grill some tilapia and after dinner - Buffalo Trace.

So, I assume the stump is still planted in the ground. How do you burn it? You said you split it down the middle with your axe (giggity, I plan on doing some of that myself,  later.) Do you just start a campfire in the space you chopped? Big logs take a long time to start burning. I'm just trying to figure out the logistics.

Literally jealous. The few times I burned out stumps, I enjoyed watching them burn and looking forward to what I'd plant in their place. And, I have two stumps I'd love to burn, but they aren't dried out enough yet. Lucky *******.
