Big news. We've partnere with our friends at the National Fantasy Football Championship for two awesome post season contests.

Their Post-Season Hold'Em Contest offers an easy-to-play format with unique scoring multipliers and massive prizes to keep the excitement going. It's our favorite way to play playoff fantasy football.

How it works:

  • Pick 12 players before each playoff round, earn bonus points for keeping players longer, and rack up the most total points by the Super Bowl.
Prizes:

  • A $200 entry fee puts you in the running for over $264,000 in fully guaranteed prizes, including a $150,000 grand prize.
Or try the NFFC Mini Playoff Hold'Em with the same exciting format, a $50,000 grand prize, and an entry fee of just $50.

We expect both contests to sell out soon, so don't miss out on four more weeks of fantasy football action.

Hold Em Contest $200 entry with $150,000 Grand Prize
Mini Hold Em Contest - $50 entry with $50,000 grand prize

As an FYI to anyone considering these....

Post Season Hold 'em $440,000 collected, $264,250 in prizes: 60% payout

Mini Hold 'em $150,000 collected, $97,600 in prizes: 65% payout

Note - There's a caveat that prizes are based on fewer entires so maybe payouts are higher with a full contest but I can't find it. Regardless, if the structure is the same for both, you're much better off playing the mini

You're also saving 11% with a 9 pack on the mini vs 5% with the 9 pack on the full contest. Once again, this is a huge reason to invest in the mini Hold 'em.

Hi @BassNBrew - I think there was just confusion, as you mentioned the prizes based on number.

Post Season Hold'em - $264,250 prizes / $330,000 in entries (not including multi-entry discount) = 80.1%
Mini - $97,600 prizes / $125,000 in entries (not including multi-entry discount) = 78.1%

With multi-pack discounts, both are above 80%.

Any entries beyond the "Prizes Based On" number maintains the 80% payout number as well.

Hope that clears up any potential qualms you have!

Thanks.

They really should clear that up and be specific with a payout %. When you add up the prizes the numbers don't match. Not trying to be an ***, but I view this similar to when FBG used to put out articles on where your best values in DFS were. Obviously when a player has two options the would want to hammer the one with better payout to entry fee ratio or the one that offers better entry discounts.

From Joe's link...

Over $264,250 in Prizes Entry Fee: $200 Top 40 Teams Win Prizes

Then elsewhere

Prizes:*$150,000 grand prize - Top 55 win!!

No mention of the prize for spots 41-55. I think I read most of the fine print and didn't see anything.

Am I correct that the multity entry discount is better for the mini?
