My thoughts are, aside from all the BS with Favre retiring/unretiring/rinse/repeat, there is half of me that is pulling for the guy. I watched part of the press conference, and I still think Brett is a likeable fellow. I think he is a selfish a** that is tarnishing his legacy, but part of me is still pulling for him.
As far as Vick goes, I am a full believer that whether you believe the punishment fit the crime or not, he paid his court ordered debt to society. For better or worse, it's the justice system we chose to live by, and his punishment is over. I am fine with the fact that he found someone to hire him and hope he makes the best of the second chance he has been given. I think he does deserve a second chance. That being said, not one ounce of my being cares whether he succeeds or not. I don't care if he bombs, and I don't care if he comes back strong, I just don't.
I voted Min/GB in both polls, but I think the main reason is that Favre is coming back to be the starter, and Vick is coming back to be the backup/situational player. Favre is going to play a much bigger role, and that is the reason the Minny/GB game is going to be bigger.
On a side note, my wife is a Green Bay fan, and is absolutely 100% against Brett Favre. She hopes he fails miserabley in Minnesota. I told her I thought that was a little harsh, and as a Green Bay fan doesn't at least part of you hope the best for him. She answered me by asking me how I felt about the Cutler situation as a Broncos fan. I said I don't really care one way or the other about Cutler anymore, he's gone and it's just not my concern anymore. So then she asks me what I would have felt if Cutler went to the Raiders. I understand completely now why she wants Favre to fail in Minnesota. Part of me is still pulling for Brett Favre, but I understand if and why any Green Bay fans don't hold the same sentiments.
