Name your biggest busts of the season so far.
as a moss owner im very frustrated but all it takes is one big game.Randy Moss. On pace for less than 4 TDs this year.
Moss is second in the league in targets and fifth in receptions. IMO, I think it's a bit pre-mature to call him "biggest bust" just yet.Randy Moss. On pace for less than 4 TDs this year.
No its notMoss is second in the league in targets and fifth in receptions. IMO, I think it's a bit pre-mature to call him "biggest bust" just yet.Randy Moss. On pace for less than 4 TDs this year.
As Roddy White just demonstrated. Actually this week was Moss's first bad week though. He was leading the league in catches up to that point.as a moss owner im very frustrated but all it takes is one big game.Randy Moss. On pace for less than 4 TDs this year.
Calvin Johnson cost me the game this week and hasn't had a big week yet either and is now possibly hurt. A bigger disappointment than Moss if the injury is serious.Name your biggest busts of the season so far.
I don't think S.Jackson really qualifies as a bust, since no one should have had any expectations for him.Steven Jackson
Actually we're getting past the point where one big game is going to benefit his owners enough.as a moss owner im very frustrated but all it takes is one big game.Randy Moss. On pace for less than 4 TDs this year.
RB13 in my league and hasn't had a TD yet. 1 TD he is top 10, 2 TDs he is top 6 (PPR league). Been a bit of a disappointment but far less so than D. Williams or LT IMO.Steven Jackson
Really? 4 tds in 4 games is a bust? What are your expectations?Fitz
Why is that? The team has stunk for years now and Jackson has done just fine when healthy in the past.I don't think S.Jackson really qualifies as a bust, since no one should have had any expectations for him.Steven Jackson
I agree obout SJax..he ran the ball pretty good. Plus he is the only game in town..no sharing.I got my first chance to see SJackson play yesterday and I saw him really dominate when he had the ball, running hard and catching well. If it weren't for the 3 fumbles (two in the RZ within the 5 yard line) Jackson could have had his usually 100+ combined yards plus at least 2 TDs against a tough MINN def. I still think he will be fine, just a slow start.BBof2009=Greg Jennings
I think that's the shark move. Someone mentions a guy who isn't really a bust and I agree it must mean the entire thread is a waste of time.I will stop reading these now, I just saw Fitz labeled as one of the biggest busts of the year. He's at WR11. It's 5 weeks in, the guy is far from a bust.
I'd agree with Jennings and JacksonI can't trade Jackson for a 2nd tier TE (Cooley/Keller/Owen Daniels>?!)
For the expectations of what Brady did two years ago and the 'recovery' from last year's knee injury behind him, the expectation was that the NE offense would be back to the same levels of performance as it was when it rolled through the league. Well it has not happened and IMHO Brady is the reason. His head is not ready to put the injury fully behind him. He still looks tentative in the pocket and not in full command. In 2007 Brady completed 70% of his passes and had a QB rating of 117. This year he has completed just 62% of his passes and has a QB rating of 84. The numbers this year are not bad (many teams would love to see their QB complete 62% of his passes - right Danny). But this is not the level that most people anticipated for the NE offense. I saw a pass to a wide open Moss sail over Moss' head yesterday in Denver that would never have been missed in years past. The 'dive' made by Brady when Suggs went for his legs (yes to me it was no more than a dive since Suggs barely made contact) two weeks ago would never have occured in past years let alone the follow-up plea to the referee to make sure he saw the 'contact and emmy winning grimmace of pain'. In the past Brady was difficult to rattle. No, Brady would simply make teams pay for mistakes and would leave defenses scrambling to recover. Now the pressure seems to get to Brady and his game is thrown off by it.QB- Brady (still a QB1 but not the #2 overall QB and the offense isnt the same as last yr)
RB- Jacobs (what happened to this guy?); Williams (Panthers look horrid)
WR: Smith (Panthers look horrid); Royal (WW material until this week)
Hell, I have him and another bust candidate.Greg Jennings.Though, going RB, WR, WR was not terrible in getting those 2.And the RB was LT late in the first.Somehow, I was still 3-1 going into this week (thanks to Bradshaw and Steve Smith)...now 3-2 after getting rolled by Housh, Marshall, and Matt Ryan yesterday.Randy Moss. On pace for less than 4 TDs this year.
Moss has been a deep threat--Brady's missed him several times wide open. Seems to happen once a week.Brady is killing him... and considering Brady was often one of the top two QBs taken and he's performing outside the top ten, I'ma call him an early bust. Receivers putting up subpar numbers but still startable are not busts IMO. A quarterback performing outside the top ten can really set your team back if you drafted him early.Moss has not been a deep threat at all...so he has been somewhat of a bust
You must have a short memory. The 4 catches for about 24 yards against the Jets would certainly qualify as a bad game.Actually this week was Moss's first bad week though.as a moss owner im very frustrated but all it takes is one big game.Randy Moss. On pace for less than 4 TDs this year.
Actually, Steven Jackson has had one big fantasy year - 2006. The Rams were 8-8 that year. They have gotten progressively worse and he has battled injuries the past 2 years. To expect top 5 production out of him given his injury problems and the state of the team was not realistic. He's not a bust this year, just a product of his crappy situation. Why is that? The team has stunk for years now and Jackson has done just fine when healthy in the past.I don't think S.Jackson really qualifies as a bust, since no one should have had any expectations for him.Steven Jackson
Fitz already had his bye week and going with AVG points per game he is the #6 WR in my PPR leagueSteven Jackson
Larry Johnson
Steve Slaton (although he has been better)
LT
Deangello Williams
Fitz
Jennings
Chris Chambers (didnt expect him to be a stud but startable)

good RB play and Good teams are not mutually exclusiveMoss is not a bust, Brady is the bust at the moment. Moss is still performing at an elite level but his QB simply isn't connecting with him as much as he should. And I don't understand how anyone could think Steven Jackson is a bust because I could never understand why ANYONE thought he would be great this year. He's actually performed above my expectations so far, and I can't believe people thought he'd be a reliable #1 Fantasy back. Honestly, how the hell could you expect him to be good on such a terrible team?
