Bills Defense (1 Viewer)

They had done really well the first couple of weeks, but were terrible yesterday against the Cards. Was yesterday just a bump in the road for a good defense, or were they exposed? What should be expected of them after their bye this week? (I know their return game is off because of the injury to Parrish.)

The Bills actually had quite a few injuries on defense that really hurt them. McGee didn't play and he's definitely the best CB on the team. Stroud played hurt yesterday and wasn't very effective. Ko Simpson got hurt partway through the game and Wilson was definitely a downgrade there. I believe Mitchell was also playing banged up.

On the other hand, the Bills haven't really played a good offense up to yesterday. And the Cards are certainly one of the better ones in the league.

One major concern is that the Bills really haven't been very good at getting to the QB. No excuse yesterday either. Even though Stroud was banged up, Warner is a guy that they should have been able to get to.

Yea, the lack of sacks against a statue like Warner was a major surprise. They also miss Roscoe Parrish big time in the return game. They're getting nothing without him and that was a huge part of their fantasy appeal. They're strictly a matchup play right now and I'd be hardpressed to want to start them on the road - especially against any offense that is above average or better.

Bills D owners, are you holding them or cutting them loose? If cutting them, who are you picking up instead. Just curious.
I'm dropping the Bills D for either the Dolphins or Skins. I don't like the Bills upcoming schedule at all plus they are on bye this week.

I'm definitely going to 'hold' them during their bye. I think they're a quality defense that were banged up in the secondary and faced the NFL's most accurate QB in history. $@#^ happens.Their upcoming schedule after the bye looks pretty good to me:SD - @MIA - NYJ - @NE - CLE - @KC - SF - MIA - @NYJNone of those offenses are particularly scary in my eyes, save for maybe SD, but at least the Bills get them at home with a potentially still-hurting LT, and the Chargers will have flown from San Diego to Miami to San Diego to Buffalo in the two-weeks leading up to that Week 7 game. All this adds up to a defense worth holding on to IMO.
