Bills win vs. Bears in Week 5 (1 Viewer)

Buffalo has a lot of weapons on offense and their D has been solid all year so far, they've performed above and beyond what EVERYONE thought and predicted.

Well, This is the week Buffalo really gets the talk going by beating the "best team in the league" Chicago Bears.

Willis is #1 in Rushing yards in the entire league, they'll look to establish the run big time.

J.P. has looked almost like a seasoned veteran at times this year.

The receivers have been, for lack of a better word, scrappy and hard to keep down, quite explosive, example, Peerless Price last week.

You might say, haha, yea right, Not with that Bears D or the way that Rex has been playing.........Well boys the buck stops here thanks to one thing, Former Bears coach **** Juron. He knows the schemes and will have buffalo game planned for a huge underdog win!

Final Score:

Buffalo wins 17-16 in a nail biter.

Put Buff on your map for good and "MARK IT DOWN!"

In addition to their jerseys, Losman and McGahee will be wearing Tommie Harris this Sunday also.

A minimum of THREE tackles for loss for #91. Book it.

Yeah, he certainly got the job done for most of the games he coached in Chicago up until now... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hehe its possible.

The flows defense will get some more respect after this week.

Bears haven't had to stop a Rb of McGahee's caliber yet.

But even so I expect the Bears to win this one handily.

Losman is not going to look good at all this week.

Well, I wish I was as confident as you.

1. I wish it was in Buffalo.

2. I wish Spikes from 04 was playing.

3. I wish Chris Villareal was not hurt, they have their only back up OL with ANY NFL experience starting.

I hope they can at least be competetive. I actually hope they come out passing to open up McGahee, becasue I don't see it happening the other way around.

Buffalo needs to minimize the penalties, and needs a big special teams day from McGee and Parrish.

I have to take Chicago 24-13. But we know where my heart is.

Again, whoever replaces Villariel is better than Villariel. I'm not worried about that at all.

Really? What has Duke Preston shown that makes you feel mor comfortable than Chris. He's no pro bowler, but Chris Villareal is a solid RG.

Mock and make fun all you like then be sure to check back sunday at 4pm!
I'm not one, but you do NOT want to call out the bears fans. Especially after the beat down they put on *arguably* one of the best offenses in the NFC last week. SEA dropped 40 something on the Giants the week before and left soldier field humbled. What makes you think BUF's pedestrian offense will fare any better?I've got Willis, but he will be cheering from my bench this week. I'd be impressed if BUF found the endzone once in this game and broke 10 pts. Maybe their D is good enough to keep it respectable, but I could easily see this ending up 30-9.Don't want any action, but this smells like sig bet material - if you're willing to put your sig where your mouth (or keyboard) is.Good luck - you're gonna need it.

I think this is one of those posts where someone throws down something completely outrageous, then when it plays out just like everyone else said it would, and he gets called out on it, he'll say something like, "It would have been easy to pick Chicago; at least I have the balls to go against the grain" or something ridiculous like that.

This is the type of post I expect from someone who puts his rosters in his sig.

Patriot Nation is pulling for you, son. Tell Takeo to hit Rex Glassman in the spleen.Sadly, I predict a good day for Mcgahee and a bad day for Losman and the Bills D.Bears 30Bills 17

The Bills are due for a KR TD...

I think it's going to be a real tight game. Grossman is eventually going to get burned in a couple games with his slingin' ways. With the Bills DBs they could pick a couple.

If the Bills win the turnover battle, and maybe get a return TD they could definitely pull it off. I'm not predicting it, but it could happen if they get more big plays.

All said, though, I really think Thomas Jones is in for another big game.

In other news, Jessica Alba has agreed to become my sex slave.Buffalo 6Chicago 20
 THAT CHEATIN' WHO-ERRR!But when she was leaving this morning she told me this:"Bears by 20...put 10K down for me"...and she left $10K on the nightstand for me.Take it for what it is. :banned: :D

Yeah, Lovie's using the EXACT SAME system that Jauron was. That will be a real big factor in this game.

Gotta love the optimism of the homer. I think we'll be having a "this is the week the Bears lose" thread from here on out. And when it doesn't happen, another roaring mouth will become silent and slink away into shame.

But Lord help us all when it DOES happen.

This poster has started 6 topics in the Pool prior to this one.

Half of them got :IBTL: .... so take the prediction with a grain of salt, as we all have.

Though it is kinda funny reading a thread about the Raiders running up the score! :lmao:

Sadly I agree. Although I do think that the game will actually be closer than that. I think that final could very well end up 14-10 as two defenses end up slugging it out. The ONLY way that the Bills get hammered is if Losman turns the ball over in Buffalo territory and Clements gets beaten deep all day. But I don't see this happening. I can't convince myself that the Bills will win this game, but I do think that it will be a lot closer than most people think with the Bills having a shot to win the game.

Good posting.I hope the Bills win this too. But I feel the Chicago Bears have good enough corners and safties to hold their own with the Bills passing attack and they will stack the line and stuff McGahee. Villareal (sp?) is out and he might be the best Olineman the Bills have. I hope it isnt a lopsided affair...I like Jauron and what he has done so far... with what he has to work with, I feel he is doing a good job. If he can get 1 or 2 more GOOD olineman, maybe even go out and get an elite lineman, I think the team will be a playoff contender... I feel the Oline is the one thing truly holding them back because I can see the defense improving every week and this is withOUT Spikes.Chicago is HOT, and they rolled over the NFC champs and it wasnt an emotional win, it was just a win and why I think they will keep on trucking through Buffalo... and especially with Jauron at the helm.Lovie has done a GREAT job in chicago... taking step by step and it appears they are not just a one year wonder, they have a legitimate shot at being a powerhouse for the 2-3 years and in this day and age... THATS impressive. :banned:

There will likely be a thread every week stating:

"XXX win vs. Bears in Week X, MARK IT DOWN"

When the Bears eventually lose a game, the original poster will excitedly say to everyone, "I told ya so."

This Bears D is on a mission, and I do not think J.P. Losman is going to put up much of a fight. But you never know, the NFL can be wierd at times, and this does smell like a trap (Buff +11)

 Jason Peters is by far and away their best lineman. He's quickly becoming one of the best linemen in the league period. Gandy would be their next best lineman then a tossup between Villarial and Fowler and Reyes IMO. Duke Preston isn't a stud, but I don't think that he'll be a bad fill in either. I know the coaches seem to really like him.

Please stop saying 'mark it down'. Its the civilian equivalent of guarunteeing a victory. You mark it down- go put the deed to your house on the Bills and if you win start your own 'im a gambling genius be like me' website with the proceeds.

Also applies to 'book it'.

I know its a pipedream, but this is the year I want to see the Bears run the table.

They'd have to beat Miami along the way, which would help avenge the only loss of the '85 season.

Then, the Super Bowl is Miami.

No better chance of shoving it right in the '72 Dolphins face than doing it on their home turf.

You know damn well that all of those smug, arrogant, SOBs will be sitting there with their bottles of champange hoping the Bears lose Super Bowl XLI. And when it all over and done, and The Beloved are raising the Lombardi Thophy at midfield, the only thing those bottles of champange will be good for is drowning their sorrows in them.

GO BEARS

BEARS 41

BILLS 6

Smug and arrogant?I can't stand the Dolphins, but those are about the last two words I'd use to describe those guys. They always seemed very down-to-earth in what I've seen of them.

Mercury Morris down?Remember the crap that guy was speiling last year when Indy was still on their run?

Also, I think it's pretty hilarious how Bears fans are talking Super Bowl, and undefeated. Yeah, they've looked good, but they've only played one good team, and that was without their best player.

Lets see them against some good teams, first.

I said pipedream, didn't I?

Just to get a little more detailed for a second, the best hope for the Bills lies on their young safeties on defense and on their WRs on offense.

Steve Smith showed that the Bears can be beaten in the passing game. He's a special talent though and there's no one single player on the Bills that has his combination of quickness and strength. What they do have is a nice combination of WRs with speed and a TE with speed and power. I expect to see quite a few quick slants and screens to Evans, Parrish and Price this week. That's the only way to take advantage of the Bears' Cover 2 and their speed at the DB position. In order for that to really be effective, the Bills will also need to run Josh Reed over the middle with Robert Royal. Royal can make the Chicago LBers stay at home if he's running routes across the middle. That would help open things up for Evans, Parrish and Price a bit more. I don't think that the Bills will be able to run many plays with a 7 step drop against the Bears. They're going to have to get the ball out of Losman's hands quickly to be successful in the passing game. Maybe some screens to McGahee as well although the Chicago LBers are so fast that they snuff out stuff like that pretty quickly.

On defense it will be up to the young safeties. Buffalo has been able to get a pretty good amount of pressure on the QB so far this season so I think that Grossman is going to have to get rid of the ball a little faster than what he's been used to. Chicago has put up a very large percentage of their passing numbers on long plays. If Simpson and Whitner can help shut down the big play, I think Chicago's offense could be in trouble. The biggest problem for the Bills though is that Clements has been very prone to giving up the big play in his career. My hope is that he's actually matchup up against Muhammed with McGee on Berrian. Buffalo has fast safeties so I'm hoping that they will actually be able to contain Chicago's WRs. If they can, I think that Grossman is in trouble. Even though Grossman has looked pretty good so far, let's not forget that he still hasn't played in very many games. If the safeties can rotate their coverages and keep Berrian contained, I think that Grossman could be looking at 3-4 sacks and a turnover or two.

Nope... Maybe I'm just ignorant. I just remember seeing a bunch of old farts sitting around laughing and joking around.

If you count the Vikes, they played 2 good teams, and the Vikes had them beat until the late fumble.
