Black Unemployment Hits Record Low (1 Viewer)

Overall, we rate Breitbart Questionable based on extreme right wing bias and publication of numerous false claims.

🤣

Why would blacks not vote for Trump in 2020?

According to a lot of you guys Trump is a racist.  He must be really bad at that.
What specific policies has Trump instituted that has mad this number his this low?

And this has been touted before...and the question never answered.  Nor how the number has followed the trend from before Trump being elected...with no significant shifts.

This is not proof for against his racism.

The new tax law for starters.  It allowed businesses to hire more workers.

Trump had zero to do with this and the attempt to give him credit for it is laughable but saddening at the same time, because for every person that says it openly there are plenty more who think it too.

If true...why has the unemployment rate not actually spiked any change but follow the same trend?

The claim that the tax law is responsible is not logical.  Try again.

I know you have problems with English sometimes so I will give you a pass on this one.  You can try again when you have time.
Ahh insults because you can’t refute what was said.  Its clear you have no intention of having a civil discussion about any topic at this point.

I honestly have no idea what you were trying to say.  You constantly talk down to people and it gets old.  It is why many people have you on ignore.

I only get accused of trolling by trolls.  Do you want to explain what he was trying to say?  Maybe you understood what he was talking about.
It was clear...black unemployment has stayed along the same trend.  If the tax law had the effect you claimed, there would have been a blip...something to show it did something.  Instead...its in the same trend line.  Its not logical to claim the tax law is why this has happened.

Well, this is horrible logic.  If Trump is defeated in 2020 and the unemployment rate starts climbing are you going to suddenly blame Biden?  I highly doubt it.  You have to look at policies and the tax law was a big help to employment and business.

If he does something to affect it...yes.

Unemployment has stayed on a steady line of trending down.  There was no change when the tax law took effect not a sign that it has anything to do with it.  Its a rah rah baseless claim and done illogically to claim he isn't racist...which is laughable

There is still a disparity between overall unemployment and black unemployment.  If you're wondering why black people aren't lining up to vote for Trump despite their unemployment rate dropping, this is it....... and the fact that he's a racist.

Yeah I'm not getting the connection of how since the economy is doing good and more people are working equals to " See Trump isn't a racist." It's not like he is hiring people.

With regard to Trump’s rhetoric towards blacks: just as in 2016, he’s not really trying to get them to vote for him; he’s trying to get them to stay home. If they come out in the numbers they did for Obama, Trump is toast and he knows it.

This is yet another reason why Biden remains the most electable of the Democrat candidates.

Under Trump 6.3 million new jobs have been created.  His pro-growth policies are a reason why, deregulation has helped fuel this growth.  The economy is good, as long as consumers keep spending, i purchased  a second home, interest rate 3.75, amazing and the rates will only be going lower.  My broker predicts new record highs for the stock market next week, will see.

Not it a Trump fan but if you don’t have a job now you never wii no matter what your color is.

The gap is closing fast under Trump.  Read the article.

This simply is not true.  For the unemployment rate to go this low this far into the economic cycle is not normal, it has to do with Republican policies of lower taxes and deregulations.

What is laughable is you thinking it will just trend down forever.

1. Weakened health insurance for black Americans.

2. Weakened voting rights.

3. Weakened protections against police discrimination.

4. Continued racist rhetoric.

And as far as employment goes, the disparity in income level remains. I think it would be extremely difficult for a black person to look at Trump and find him to be positive. And the polling bears this out.
1) Simply not true.  Obamacare raised rates as it was simply a horrible law.  Can't blame Trump for this.

2)  everyone still has right to vote

3) Not having Obama trying to politicize every police shooting has been great.  Obama created a huge racial divide.  Trump is enforcing the law which is great.

4) Trump has said some stupid things but the media overacts just like the echo chamber.

Look at Seattle when they raised to $15 an hour.
What happened to Seattle?

Policymakers are still looking at Seattle as a case study in how a high minimum wage could actually work in practice. The results are complex. But here’s what happened.

Generally, those business owners who threatened to leave Seattle to evade the new wage haven’t been following through. “The restaurant industry moans and groans about minimum wage increase, but the Seattle newspaper every month has a story about 40 new restaurants opening,” said Jennifer Romich, a University of Washington social policy researcher. (According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of jobs in restaurants and bars in the Seattle area has grown from 134,000 to 158,000 since 2015.) Surveying employers, Romich and other researchers found the most common response to the wage increase was to raise prices or fiddle with workers’ hours, and a “very small percentage were thinking about withdrawing or leaving the city.”

They looked at the same time period and same wage increase, but this time broke down the actual take-home pay of workers. They found that workers who were already employed at the low end of the wage scale in Seattle “enjoyed significantly more rapid hourly wage growth,” following wage increases in 2015 and 2016.

Those who were already working more hours before the wage increase saw “essentially all of the earnings increases,” while the workers who had fewer hours saw their hours go down, but wages go up enough so that their overall earnings didn’t really change. They theorized that a slowdown in new hiring for low-wage jobs could explain their earlier findings that overall payroll had gone down.

Ultimately, workers already employed either saw their take-home pay go up or stay roughly the same while working fewer hours.

Job growth has also lagged behind Obama.

There was no change though...it just kept going along the same line.  No flattening...no drop when the laws changed.  Just steady.  That isn't a sign that ot was due to his tax law no matter how hard you try claiming so.

And job creation is lagging as well.

Without refuting each point (I could quite easily but what would that accomplish?) let me just assert that the vast vast majority of African-Americans strongly disagree with your take on all 4 of these issues, as we know from polling. And that is why they will not be voting for President Trump.

Once people get off the government teet they stop becoming sheeple.  Then they may start thinking for themselves and asking questions.  Finally, it’s possible they even go so far as to stop voting Democrat.  The horror!

Since January 2017, unemployment is down and Democratic Party affiliation is up.
