I like this mock, I like the trade with the vikings - seattle for beanie.

My only issue with this is the 49ers trading up for Sanchez, I honestly haven't heard too much buzz around the bay about a high level of interest, I can't see them going Sanchez over Crabtree if they had their pick. Otherwise nice job.

I didn't think a third rounder was enough to move up from the second to the first? (talking about the seattle-minnesota trade scenario)

I would say since you haven't heard much about increases the chance of something happening.I think SF has been saying all the right things to support something like this happening."We really like Alex Smith and we think he still has a future in SF.""Shaun Hill is going to lead this team this year"Get real, both these guys are awful. New coaches like to draft their quarterbacks. We know that Sanchez has to be the #1 quarterback on SF's board due to the comments about not wanting to draft Stafford.Plus it wouldn't hurt from a PR standpoint of keeping the local star. The only thing I don't like about this is a trade inside the division but it makes since to me. There aren't many trades that do happen that you hear anything about before hand.

Why would you assume they're lying about Smith and Hill yet telling the truth about Stafford?

I will be shocked if Curry is still on the board after KC picks at #3.
Curry is not an ideal fit for a 3-4 defense. The Chiefs are not going to take a chance on a LB in the top 3 in that position. They'll take a tackle (and move Albert to the right side and McIntosh to guard or move Albert to guard where he played in college beside Monroe), BJ Raji, or word on the street now is Tyson Jackson. They will build in the trenches though.

This time of year you can't believe anything, your right. Call it a gut feeling that San Fran wants Sanchez and wants him bad.

I had Curry there for awhile but I have to agree that I strongly think there going in another direction now.

New coaches like to win. IF the Niners were to trade up, a guy like Raji would help out that team a LOT more than Sanchez.

While they do need a qb of the future, they need a lot of things. Safeties, a DT, wr....and those are just the HUGE holes they have. I don't know why they would trade up when they can stay where they're at and get somebody who can help their team a great deal.

I agree and Sanchez gives them a better chance to win today, tommorrow and the next day. They have a good oline and good offense weapons......I think they're a good qb away from a playoff team.

Their o-line, while questionable to remain healthy, is a good one. But offensive weapons? Frank Gore is the ONLY thing on offense you could say is a good weapon. They certainly have some potential with Hill, but Vernon is a bust, Bruce is crafty but shouldn't scare anyone, and the only other piece that could be considered decent is Arnaz Battle. I really don't see where you're seeing these good offensive weapons. If everything falls right they're mediocre at best. This is a team that actually has quite a few solid pieces on defense...if they could actually land Raji and if he plays like he's expected, that would be a massive boon to the team. This is a team that has not been able to get ANY pressure on the qb for some time. It'd be nice to upgrade the DE's and linebackers, but they're decent enough. A massive NT like Raji would fill the single biggest need for this team. If they were indeed going to trade up (which I would be surprised to see them do, as they have so many holes they can wait where they're at and fill a big need), I would think it would be to acquire Raji.

Between their terrible safeties and their lousy DT's, their defense won't be able to stop anyone if they don't get a serious upgrade. I highly doubt Sanchez will be able to come in and score like the Saints.

"Miami - Knowshon Moreno"Interesting. Are you assuming that Ronnie is traded?
He might get traded but it's his last year under contract and I just don't think he is a Parcell's guy. Moreno fits the mold of a Parcell's guy and could be the workhorse they lack right now.

Terrible. SF has been down on Smith in recent news, Hill has a winning record as starter, Jimmy Raye's O is run based and is perferct for a game mgr like Hill per Singletary, and Sanchez isn't "local" unless you call 500 miles "local". Besides the fact you are wrong on every single point you brought up, good job.

I don't think it's fair to call their offensive players due to them having a bad qb. How do you know that those guys aren't getting open but Hill can't get the ball to them. I love Hill's heart but his talent just isn't there. Sanchez would make Davis and Hill major upgrades IMO.

It is plenty fair. Have you actually watched Vernon play? The guy is a damned good blocker but when it comes to catching the football he's soft. You'll see plenty of people say he looks like Tarzan but plays like Jane. It's true. As I said, Hill has shown potential imo. Their weapons aren't the worst in the league but they're not anywhere near being good.

I should be surprised if the Niners took Sanchez but I would be absolutely dumbfounded if they traded up to the #4 spot and took him.

You also shouldn't forget the Yorks have a lot of money tied up in Smith and Hill. If they took and played Sanchez, they'd have about ten million sitting on the bench between Hill and Smith...

They were prepared to give Warner alot of money weren't they?

That tells me they know they need a better qb and they aren't afraid to pay top money to do it.

I just think he ends up there, just my opinion.

Nice mock. I kind of do hope the Vikes trade back, but if they do I want them to get more than this mock offers.
WOW!!!!!. I thought they got excellent value to move back about 10 spots and pick up a 3? That sounds good to me. If I did a second round I would still have them targeting Britton, Harvin or maybe the safety from Central Michigan (can't remember his name right now)If they could get one of those guys (who they would take with their origianl #1) and pick up a #3 I think you should be gitty.

If the Vikings could make that trade and still get Britton, it would be unbelievable! I think a 2nd and a 3rd would be good value (although I don't think the Vikes would have to give a fifth in addition), especially with Seahawks being high in both rounds.

That NFL points chart said it was about a perfect swapSeattle isn't high at all in either round

Don't they pick 5th in the 2nd round and 4th in the 3rd round? By 'high,' I meant early. Maybe I wasn't clear.

No. Effin'. Way.
:goodposting: the ink isn't even dry on Alex Smith's bloated contract, and we're already projecting that the Niners will select Sanchez?not happening..SF will have done with QB's ,what Detroit did with WR's under Matt Millen.. :no:I also think there is a good chance that some team trades up with SF to snag Crabtree from under Cleveland's feet..

pretty sure Alex Smith re-negotiated to stay with the team or he would have been cut
