Maybe I'm just missing it, it's there somewhere and I can't find it.

Under Pinned Topics>Dynasty>Consensus, I find that last dated entry as March 14 for the post combine rookie listings.

It looks like Bloom's been fiddling with them as there's movement in the number rankings of some of the players listed (eg. DQ Jacks has done a bit of a free fall) but there's no change in the player information notes and there's no revision date.

As these rankings get updated, it's helpful if there is a dated reference as to it's place in the time/information flow that's going to be coming out of the preseason camps.

At any rate, Dear Bloom of great renown, if it's been updated and resides somewhere, I can't find it so please help me out if it's out there. :dunno: If it's being updated as you go, please stick a revision date somewhere to replace the March 14 date.

I am currently writing my 2006 IDP dynasty rookie draft strategy (position by position) article and it should be ready to run next week (it will include current rookie 100 rankings). Next week Ill write the training camp update of the 100 (some of it will be revealed in the strategy article), and then I plan on updating it weekly as training camp goes on. The rookie rankings I linked to will stay current day by day.

feel free to ask any questions about particular rookies in this thread.

Wasn't aware of that factor. Having been in a "slow motion" auto incident in the last year, I can appreciate what's happening there.Bloom, thanks for the link as your information is worth keeping on top of. It's the splicing together of the OFF/DEF that "you do the way you do" that's of interest.

ive got a question for ya. with the chiefs trading for bennett to back up LJ this week. whats gonna happen to De'arrius howard. will he make the team? will he be put on the taxi squad? cut and picked up by another team or drift away into fantasy wasteland? has there been any word on him out of training camp?

obiously i picked him up in the 6th round of a dynasty draft and have not heard a peep about him.

I'm not hearing much about Howard, positive or negative, but surely he's got a long road to make the team. I wonder if he couldn't carry over that resurgence I saw all week at the Shrine Game into workouts for teams. He really was the most impressive back all week, and in the game. Its even more baffling that Andre Hall went undrafted AND was cut already... many had him close to (if not in) that 2nd tier of backs going into the draft. I do still think we'll see some UDFA offensive skill players stick on rosters, such as Hank Baskett in Philly.

With all the speculation of how Taylor could fail as a starting RB in Minny and the fact Moore and Faison are carry over RB's from the Tice era ... what's the word if any on Taurean Henderson ... he was toated as the best receiving RB of this years class ... does he have a shot as the 3rd down / change of pace back in Minny ??

The Setup - [DYNASTY] rookie/FaVet mixed draft where I got the 1.11 pick... I'm positive that one of the 3 players listed below will be available - if not more than one... and this is where I need your advice (or anyone else for that matter)... Who would be your pick between: Jerious Norwood / Santonio Holmes / Mario Williams?

It is a performance (1/10-6 & 1/30-4) + ppr league - where IDP scores only for sacks (6 pts) and ints (8pts)...

starting requirements: QB/RB/WR/TE/Flex: 1/1/2/0/2 - with a max of 1RB for the Flex spots... IDP - DL/DB: 3/1 or 2/2 - where LB are treated as DL

My team - after cuts:

QB: Palmer

RB: Portis - James

WR: Driver - Burress - Mason - Houshmandzadeh

TE: Heap - Watson

DL: Ogunleye - Grant - KGB

DB: Robinson

Best FaVets (my guess here since the cuts are not official):

QB: Frye - Grossman

RB: GJones - Turner - Bennett - Henry

WR: VJackson - Toomer - Booker - Northcutt

(as you can see - not much)

I'm inquiring at Super Mario since it is a salary cap league where IDP salaries are much cheaper than offensive guys (accordingly, since they only score 60 points for 10 sacks - compared to 150/200 for top RB/WR)... and thus, are never traded (Taylor, Strahan, Freeney and Peppers never changed team for the last 4 years)... They offer a competitive advantage though (even if they don't score much) since you need to start 3 on most weeks...

I guess the underlying question is: Will Super Mario be a consistent 8/10/12 sacks per year king of guy? Or are you not sold on him... And if so - will Norwood and/or Holmes ever become top FF contributors?

If not, any other guy you would target with the 1.11 pick?

(I'll be looking to add VJackson and BMarshall in the second and thrid round - do you think they'll last with the publicity they are getting from their respective TC? - especially with Watts being released by the Bolts - Or do you think I'd better grab Jackson with the 1.11?)
