Bo Scaife (1 Viewer)

Rather than bury this in the other Young threads, I thought this might warrant its own thread.

Last time Young started, he seemed to have good chemistry with friend and ex-Longhorn teammate Scaife.

While the team in this lost season may want to take a longer look at Jared Cook, the future at the TE position, what are the thoughts on Scaife being a value play/safety valve the balance of the year?

Why hasn't Cook gotten more involved so far? I thought he would take over sooner rather than later, especially with Sciafe banged up.

Probably not ready yet. Not very many TEs come on strong as rookies, what with the blocking assignments in addition to being effective in the passing game (the TE position being a key component in Tennessee).

I think so.

Besides just the VY factor, Scaife looked really good against Pitt on opening night before the awkward tackle led to the injury, and as well against Indy, esp in the 1st half.

Cook has been invisible to this point.

Playoff schedule includes home games vs StL, Mia, and SD, 3 teams who have given up their share of FF points to TEs this year.

On Cook from Roto a few weeks back..

The Titans' coaches have reportedly become "hesitant" to play rookie TE Jared Cook since his early-season ankle sprain.Cook has appeared "tentative and unsure of himself" in limited playing time. After a terrific preseason, he has just five catches in the real games.Source: Nashville Tennessean
Who knows what we will see coming out of the bye. I know they were extremely high on him in preseason.

I've been wondering this exact same thing. It would be gamble, thats for sure. Especially with Cook in the fold.

But one problem is that even at his peak, Scaife was maybe TE10. So we're not looking at real huge upside regardless.

Welp, dropping Owen Daniels for Bo Scafe. I am so sad. I might cry. Owen was so special to my heart. I highly doubt Scaife is going to touch me the way Owen did. Owen had such a lovely touch.
