Bob Harris' Fantasy Football Notebook (1 Viewer)

This deserves a bump. This sort of high level look at NFL teams and all of the factors that influence fantasy production is invaluable and sort of gets lost in all the individual player threads.

Thank you. I agree it's super useful to see it from this view. Adding Bob Harris this year has been a fantastic boost to FBG in my opinion.
Absolutely a great add. Bob's stuff is the content people will look forward to every week. If you're putting together a Dream Team, he's on it, good job Joe.

Thank you @Dreamer. With you.

Yes, a real good read. A couple things I thought after reading and digesting a bit:

Calvin's record SHOULD be broken soon, especially with the 17 game schedule and any near future moving to more games. However, will the fact that more that more teams are having success integrating two and even three quality WR sets and the fact more WR each year coming out are pro ready going to more evenly start distributing those numbers, instead of having one 1900 yd WR then a 800 yd WR etc?

With that many WR going in rounds 1-3, is there any merit to making sure you get a Top Tier RB in one of those rounds?

It's crazy that we're in a golden age for receivers, yet passing stats the last few years have been at or near all time lows.

I get to draft against him in Pros vs Joes in a couple weeks.

Thanks. I agree with you on the read. One of my favorites each week.

For the top tier RB idea, I think there's definitely merit there in being a bit contrarian like that.

Chase had a game last year that was mind blowing. I can remember Isaac Bruce 200 yard games and some 200 yard games by others. We've seen some WRs have a 3 TD game over the years too.
I think some teams will be balanced and the WR won't get to Calvin's record, but if a WR gets 18 games and has some spike weeks like I mentioned then yeah it'll definitely be broken.
A 200 or 3TD game is like two weeks of stats in one and it just seems so doable with that head start.

RBs are a bit too undervalued to me. No one seems to be pointing out the supposed great rookie WRs that struggled last year and maybe they were a bit overvalued. There's probably some draft value adjustments that need to happen. That said, it seems like only Bijan and ADP and whatever blessed elite back is worthy of a first and I don't think that changes.
