Bob "Hitman" Sanders (1 Viewer)

Easily one of the most exciting player to watch. That Sunday night game was his Barry Sanders game.

right on Magaw - Sanders is an underappreciated player, and he brings an attitude that no one else can on the Colts D (except a healthy Freeney, and we haven't seen that yet this year). I liken him to a stick of dynamite strapped to a ferrari. As Ive said in this forum before , every time I watch the Colts, I see a handful of tackles by a blue and white blur coming from offscreen- Sanders seems like he can close 10 yards in the time an RB makes 2 steps.

Agree with all of the above. He's the biggest 5'8" guy I've ever seen in terms of how he plays. You'd think that playing a guy that short at safety would be preposterous until you actually watch him play.

 Hopefull he can stay healthy.

He was on my bench this past weekend because he was a GTD, but I'm very happy to see him back. He's a must start in IDP leagues.

Well, if he keeps launching himself eight yards over piles into running backs head first he'll last one or two more series -- as usual. ;)

:lmao: I know ... his style of play writes checks his body can't cash... But, he is sure fun to watch.

As a respected and oft-quoted wisenheimer once said, "Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it." Sanders owners would do best not to blink.Ethical concerns aside, somebody should do a biometric study of Dan Morgan and Bob Sanders from the neck up. How Morgan concusses himself getting out of bed in the morning while Sanders comes away with knee injuries and bruised forearms with their respective tackle styles I'll never know.

Bob, what happened to EttG last week?
outside work commitments, but my bad for not asking to have link taken down for the week...sorry for disappointing expectations... things have settled down at work & i'll be back this week...i think i did about 13 installs last season & hope to do around 12 this year (i like to do some form of next season preview of incoming defensive rookie class by position with last one... breaking down incoming rookie classes on both sides of ball is one of my most enjoyable and favorite things about fantasy football & writing)...i'm making one change to format & instead of more structured team reports the way i've been doing them, with divisional breakdowns on a monthly rotation, to a more free form section to be called around the league... that way i can just talk about whatever i want whenever i want however i want... :)thanx for asking, blondie (taking a cue from your avatar... GB&U one of my all time favorites) as to bullet bob... he isn't like a typical 5'8" guy (obviously)... i think he is almost 210... somebody described meggett one time, who was also short but didn't play small, and they described him as normal sized bigger person with their feet cut off... :)so for sanders, picture somebody about 6'3" 215 like adrian wilson but with his legs chopped off above the ankles...he has some very nice compensating factors... he might have been fastest DB at combine (sub-4.4) & also had highest vertical (41.5" approx)... many scouts described he & greg jones as having most impressive physiques amongst all all the prospects in their class...a concern is something i saw someone note in looking at his highlight package one time... it is alarming that he leads with his head a lot...just like some offensive players have "IT", even if you can't describe what it is... he's got it... very charismatic presence... i've also likened him to a little stick of dynamite, and he has the kind of contagious intensity & ferocity that elevates the play of those around him and almost seems to make his teammates play with greater passion and resolve... his HC in college ferentz compared his arrival at iowa (& instant impact) to like if you were getting beaten up by some neighborhood bullies (in big 10), and than all of sudden cavalry arrives in form of your big brother & he starts STOMPIN on people! :) * on good nights, bands like pink floyd would feed off energy of the crowd & audience would feed off energy of band in a kind of circuit or feedback loop... i'm pretty sure his teammates & home crowd feed off his energy in a similar way...only every game is a good game for the hitman...

Sanders is a nice player, but he has a long, long way to go before he gets Rodney Harrison's nickname.
