Bobby Wade - Fluke? (1 Viewer)

He got more targets than Bowe. I'm going to assume Nmandi was on Bowe but anyone think Wade will be a viable PPR option?

If I'm understanding this correctly he signed with the team 5 days before the game and then led the team in targets on Sunday??

If that's the case I pick him up right away as a WR5 or WR6 in PPR leagues. 6 catches in a game 5 days after joining the team..........he's on my list for sure.

You should rename the thread title "Bowe v. Wade".

Anyway, from what I've read, Bradley is in Haley's doghouse and may have contributed to Wade's elevated playing time.

I highly doubt the targets will remain in favor of Wade over Bowe, but when you figure the team will be throwing a lot and there aren't many options in the passing game (TE not used much with Gonzalez gone), you could do a lot worse than Wade.

Agreed, you could do a lot worse. I DO agree that eventually Bowe keeps getting the most targets but Wade's alwasy been a solid player working as a possession guy playing out of the slot.

Yea Bradley is definitely in the doghouse. Haley is gonna be a tough coach to figure out.

haley is on a major power trip and is intent on waving his #### around and teaching lessons. bradley annoyed him week one and is now being "punished". add to that the fact that cassell is not quite right and was just looking for the easy dump-off and that bobby wade is, well, bobby wade, and i wouldn't put much stock/faith into this situation.

in the "Top 200", Bobby Engram appears, but Bobby Wade does not. i'm wondering if that's an error.

clarify: this is in the Custom Top 200 on the MyFBG page. I see that Wade appears in the regular Top 250, but i don't think there should be much of a difference between the 2 lists.

Bobby Wade did lead the Vikings in receptions the last two season so a "high" reception total isn't a fluke. With a QB like Matt Cassell who like Chad Pennington looks to dink and dunk - and posseses smarts and accuracy - a possession type WR like Wade is a viable WR3 or flex player in ppr leagues.

Keep in mind that KC is running an offense very similar to NE. Cassel was comfortable hitting his slot WR which was Welker. Wade should be the slot when Bradley is out of the doghouse. They are not committed to running the football unless LJ gets hot. But Haley is a passing coach. He likes to throw the ball. I have Wade as my #3 WR this week and I am starting him.

I agree Haley is a tough one to figure out at this point. I guess he's learning on the job being a rook HC.

I think Wade has value in deeper PPR leagues.

With Bowe out though you have to think the KC offense will be severely vertically limited...Wade will be going against a topflight DB, not sure that's a good thing.

True but I doubt KC will be able to run against Philly's Defense so I think they have to throw just to keep in the game.

What about Wade over Ted Ginn as WR3. Will he get that many more targets, especially with Bowe out? Will Cassel lean on him?
