Bobby Wade vs. The Saints (1 Viewer)

If you're in a PPR league and you're strapped at WR this week or none of the lower-ranked options are getting you all that fired up (guys like Camarillo, Randle El or Josh Reed, for example), I'm thinking Bobby Wade could be a way under-the-radar option this week. Consider some of the following reasons:

1. He's been reasonably productive the past three games, posting 3/42, 3/35, 7/75. Last week's game was very solid in a PPR format.

2. Berrian and Rice are banged up. Berrian was a Friday addition to the injury report with a knee injury and that's never a good sign when a player gets added to the report as questionable on a Friday. Rice was the No. 3 WR last week but could return to the starting lineup if he's healthy. But how healthy is he?

3. The Saints have one of the worst pass defenses in the league, giving up 249.3 yards per game. Even Gus Frerotte should be able to do well against this group.

It's not a stone cold lock, though, and here are some of the reasons why:

1. This could be a game where Adrian Peterson goes bonkers. The Saints are awful defensively and the Vikings could turn AD loose and he could gobble up all of the relevant fantasy production.

2. Berrian and Rice could heal quickly over the weekend, rendering Wade to No. 3 status and making him worthless. The fact it's a Monday night game means we likely won't get any meaningful updates on their health until just before the game on Monday.

3. Frerotte is Gus Frerotte. Even if the matchup is great he could **** the bed.

But the Saints are one of the highest-scoring teams in the league. They should be able to put up a lot of points at home this week. So that should force the Vikings to throw it a lot to try and keep up. If Wade is starting again, he has the potential to deliver at least 4-40 although I doubt he's much of a threat to score.

There's been a lot of talk about guys like Camarillo (who FBG loves this week) or the hot sleepers like Breaston and Hixon, but if you're in a PPR league and you didn't land Breaston or Hixon and you can't get fired up about Camarillo, maybe Wade is someone to consider.

Just my 2 cents.
