Boof is the real deal but it's safe to bench any pitcher against the Yankees.
Also benched him tonight. He will go right back in my lineup for most of his starts though.pigskin pimp said:Funkley said:Boof is the real deal but it's safe to bench any pitcher against the Yankees.![]()
Sorry, dude.eoMMan said:I started him with confidence this week.....I'm think he's in line to get 2 starts.
AL Central = Division of Champions
True, but I still believe in the BOOF! And Beckett's performance helped even out my stats so it wasn't that bad of a day for me.Sorry, dude.eoMMan said:I started him with confidence this week.....I'm think he's in line to get 2 starts. This game's going to kill your ERA and WHIP.The Yankees brought some whoop ### in from NYC these last 2 games.Might as well set up a tee for them.
I started Boof as well last night.I agree with the benching and it is nothing against Boof. I think he is an outstanding young pitcher with a bright future.I bench any pitcher who is not a universally recognized, top 10-15 SP against the:YankeesMetsRed SoxIndiansBlue Jays
I don't think it's as absolute as that. Much more of a grey area when it comes to baseball because you don't want to lose ground in the counting stats. There has to be an element of luck and feel involved. You really can't afford to have a pitching staff that can only play against 50% of the american league. I would've sat Boof against the Yanks last night but that's about it. Otherwise you have to be able to play your team or they're not worth having.Wooderson said:I started Boof as well last night.I agree with the benching and it is nothing against Boof. Why do I start pitchers like him against good hitting teams. In the past I will just start my pitchers no matter who the play. Thanks for the list above I think it would be a good idea to get a list of teams together that you just don't start a pitcher against unless they are of the elite status.
TrueI just am going to give a little more thought before I start my lesser starters against teams like the Yanks.I don't think it's as absolute as that. From wiki...After the 2001 season, he legally changed his name from John Paul to Boof, a nickname he had had since childhood.Yeah...pretty happy I benched Boof. What's the story behind the name "boof"?
Whip is taking a beating, 3 hits though.6 walks in a little over 3 innings.....oh boy.
