Bortles Trade (1 Viewer)

I've been offered 2.02 for Bortles and 2.11.

My QBs are Big Ben, Winston, Bortles, and Kaepernick. I don't really need Bortles, but is that not enough for him?

It's a little weak for me but I tend to value QB more than some others.  I would tend to be more likely to want to keep Bortles since Big Ben is getting old and Kaepernick may not be a long term starter.  The deal probably isn't horrible if you like several players at the beginning of round 1 of this draft.

Yeah I can't decide if I like this or not. I know Ben doesn't have much time left, but Winston should be good going forward. I had originally offered Bortles straight up for 2.2, but he countered to have me include 2.11 as well. I have 1.12 right now, so if there's a couple guys I'm deciding between, having 1.12 and 2.2 would be nice.

Does he have a 3rd rounder???  or do you have a mid 3rd instead of the 2.11?  if he includes a mid 3rd, I would pull the trigger.  If you have a mid 3rd instead of the 2.11, I would counter that way.

I think you can have a chance at a difference maker at 2.02 this year, bortles is a middle of the road ffl qb that has shown enough to stick around the league but isn't really trending up, so I'd take it. I put high value on a set and forget qb, bottles is replaceable.

I'd pass on it. In Zealots Bortles finished as the QB4 after the 2015 season, and most people would say Bortles was dreadful last year, yet he still finished at QB10. So in 3 years he's finished in the top 10 in QB scoring twice.  I think he's probably a better fantasy QB than NFL QB. Seems to me the bad plays (INTs) always come at the worst possible time, which magnifies them. Perhaps with a new regime in Jacksonville Bortles will bounce back. So with the guys you currently have, I'd hold him.

Agreed.

In theory Bortles is worth a late 1st. But, given the depth at QB position and the possibility of getting a pretty good pick at 2.02, I would take it.
