Boston guys - Roadtrip Early October - chime in (1 Viewer)

Boston guys.

My FFL league is picking Boston for our annual road tip. The first weekend in October we want to hit Fenway on Saturday and the Pats game on Sunday.

Should arrive Friday and just want to hang out and bar hop. and Watch some college football on Saturday night after the Red Sox game.

Where should w stay, what bars should we hit. mind you we are all overweight dudes in our 40s/50s so sports bar/pub style hag outs would fit us best.

Good public transpo? looks like the Pats play out in a suburb.

The Liberty Hotel is a cool place to stay, old jail house converted into a hotel.  There are a lot of decent sports bars near Fenway, they are all about the same in my opinion.  College football is about as popular as the Yankees in Boston so most places shouldn't packed about an hour or so after the game.  

Foxboro is a hike from Boston but you can take the train there.

HotelCommonwealth near Fenway is a good spot, with a great bar downstairs, the Eastern Standard. Pricey though, like the Liberty. 

Seaport Hotel is near South Station where train to/from Pats game leaves from, and tons of restaurants and bars close by.
