Weather Report from that day

High points:

Brees 4-6 85 yards 1 TD

Gates had the 72 yd TD, when CLE defenders couldn't bring him down because of snowy footing - best hope if you are playing Holmes tonight.

LT 26-111-2TDs

McCown 11-27 108 1 INT

Neither team had more than 260 total yards.

The weather is arguably going to be worse than that day...

I think San Diego is a bad example...how bout what Big Ben has done in cold weather. I've seen him i pretty gnarly conditions and he seems to opearte alright, maybe not great but alright.

your killin me Bloom...just about to click the mouse to put Ben back in and now this...crapola
OK, but warm weather team sputters in cold weather...no surprise. Show us what Big ben does in cold weather because I think he will be fine. Quinn too has played in some nasty weather.

Now granted this was college, but I was at this game and while it wasn't as cold (actually started mild, but got COLD when front went through early) the wind was easily howling as bad as it is today.

I think the 7 inches of snow had a bigger effect on that box score you posted.

Bills at Browns, week 15, 2007 (almost exactly 2 years ago today)

http://www.nfl.com/liveupdate/gamecenter/2...LV_Gamebook.pdf

temp: 30

wind: 32MPH

wind chill: 16

weather: snowing/blowing

With wind gusts up to 40 mph and visibility limited, throwing the ball was nearly impossible, and both teams had to rely on their running games to move the ball. But even that was tough as players struggled to get traction on the slippery, snow-covered surface.
Trent Edwards: 13 of 33 for 124 yards, 0 TD/0 INTDerek Anderson: 9 of 24 for 137 yards, 0 TD/0 INT

Bills with 32 rush attempts for 108 yards

Browns with 37 rush attempts for 174 yards

Final score was 8-0 on 2 field goals and a safety

Is this a fishing trip or what?

Tonight's weather will be arguably worse than that day? Okay, I will argue.

First, there is a 50/50 chance of snow showers. No winter advisory, winter storm watch, or winter storm warning.

Yes, it will be brutal cold with high winds and some snow but anyone of us that lives in this part of the country know that snow showers doesn't mean jack, especially when there is not a 70% chance or higher. Winds will be 25 to 35 mph. Yes, that will impact the passing game but snow is NO factor tonight unless it is lake-effect and that doesn't really hit Cleveland like it does Albion County, PA.

Puhleeze. Talk about blowing something out of proportion especially when the subscribers here at FBG are depending on you guys the most... playoff times.
