What i'd like to know is if anyone has heard whether this will lead to an increase or a decrease in his involvement in the offense. Last year they ran a couple packages per game specifically for him. As I have him in a dynasty league, I was hoping that they would build upon that. Is this just another way of adding to the Brad Smith aspect of their offense or will it limit him?
Strange news. Probably not good for his FF prospects.
My guess is that he'll be switched back to full time WR before the season, but it makes you wonder why they'd even bother with this move. All indications are that they were happy with his progress as a WR. Of course, they have a pretty loaded stable with Coles, Cotchery, McCareins, Tim Dwight, Chansi Stuckey, and Frisman Jackson. Maybe they want Smith to be the QB3 just to find room for him on the roster.

I'm thinking this means they want to get him on the field any way possible. He's not going to overtake Cotchery or Coles, but he should be #3, and if he gets a fee snaps in at QB, or is just available to do so, he'll help the team.
