Farrior is the safer, proven choice, and will probably be good for three more solid years assuming no injuries. James is a more aggressive choice with higher potential upside and certainly more years left in his career potentially, but he's less proven and is playing under a new coach.

Brady is not well thought of right now in Dallas. Be careful, he's risky.
Can you elaborate on this? Why? I have not heard anything about this.
I'm interested in the homer opinion as well. What I've read is that James progressed little over the past two seasons, hasn't made as big an impact in the running game as was hoped, and was often responsible for coverage lapses at critical times. All of which are probably true. There's also a pretty significant groundswell of disappointment in the coaching staff for not getting more out of the youngsters (Canty, Spears, James, Carpenter). If that's the case, the new coaching staff could whip this crew into shape pretty quickly. There's plenty of talent there.

I look for Tomlin to eventually convert to a 4-3, and the cover 2 he is familar with. Ya'll think Farrior will be a part of the transition, if in fact it actually happens?

BTW I like Farrior over James
