I imagine they hand these fines out all the time.

I think that's kindof the point. If it's steep enough of a penalty, players will start buckling up to avoid it.Iwannabeacowboybaby! said:It says Warren was fined 7,500 earlier in the year. Anyone else think that's kind of steep?
One problem is that it's 7500 for not buckling your own chin strap but only twice as much for a second horsecollar this year from a repeat offender. And it's the same fine as using the goal post as an ATM after a TD. I think the fine system is a little screwy. And quite frankly I see unbuckled chin straps on almost every play. QBs all seem to unstrap it on the way to the huddle and get only one of the straps back in place. How many fines a week does this generate? With all the flack the league is getting for the concussion issues they are faced with. I see no harm in them enforcing a rule that was put in place to help keep players healthy while they play the game and after their career. What's the problem?? Buckle up boys![]()
Can someone please tell me that ATM doesn't mean what I think it means in this post? One problem is that it's 7500 for not buckling your own chin strap but only twice as much for a second horsecollar this year from a repeat offender. Sorry, I can only see it a thousand times before I just have to say something.Too bad DeMarcus Ware couldnt of have hit him nice and hard while he had a dangling strap
I would of have cheered lourder for that than when Kimo knocked Palmer out of the playoffs![]()
Wow! You get fined more for wearing the wrong shoes than for repeated dangerous personal fouls. Definitely a warped system.Other players get fined all the time for uniform violations. For example.
