Did your tv lose its signal in the 4th quarter?Interesting that they decide to do this following an Anderson game that wasn't even that bad...
It wasn't a good performance. If anything, it was a game that defined Derek Anderson as a QB. He's capable of looking good when it doesn't matter, but he's wildly inconsistent and he doesn't have the mojo to get the job done in pressure situations. He has always been a tease since his college days. That hasn't changed. Him getting benched for Quinn was a predictable development. Now we'll see if Brady can seize this opportunity.Did your tv lose its signal in the 4th quarter?Interesting that they decide to do this following an Anderson game that wasn't even that bad...
yup....24 unanswered points in the loss. not real surprised at all.Did your tv lose its signal in the 4th quarter?Interesting that they decide to do this following an Anderson game that wasn't even that bad...
No, I was looking at his stat line. I know he threw that interception near the end of the game, but it was his only interception. He was 17/33 for 219 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. A crucial interception yes, but what I guess I was trying to say was that he's had a LOT of other games that were much worse than that. They should replaced him with Quinn a lot sooner.Did your tv lose its signal in the 4th quarter?Interesting that they decide to do this following an Anderson game that wasn't even that bad...
The first 2 parts of that sentence really go hand-in-hand don't they?Drop BE and The Soldier a bit. Bump to JamLew?
Crennel picking the best spot to insert Quinn. He won't get pummelled. In fact, he probably won't get touched by that putrid D.Unfortunately, Denver doesn't have a defense.Brady Quinn blows.......start opposing defenses!
Or not, as the case may be.The first 2 parts of that sentence really go hand-in-hand don't they?Drop BE and The Soldier a bit. Bump to JamLew?
Sometimes you have to watch what you rish for because you just might get it.Brady Quinn will ultimately fail.I was at the game. That was the first home game this year when everyone in the stadium was chanting "BRADY, BRADY, BRADY!!!"

Does Brady Quinn play LB for the Browns? If not then it won't change anything.Crennel picking the best spot to insert Quinn. He won't get pummelled. In fact, he probably won't get touched by that putrid D.Unfortunately, Denver doesn't have a defense.Brady Quinn blows.......start opposing defenses!

As a Braylon Edwards owner, I've been looking forward to this day all year.Drop BE and The Soldier a bit. Bump to JamLew?
I don't think that I'd be all that excited if I was an Edwards owner. At this stage of his career Quinn is just a younger version of Brad Johnson, the checkdown king. Edwards forte is the deep ball, when he can catch it.As a Braylon Edwards owner, I've been looking forward to this day all year.Drop BE and The Soldier a bit. Bump to JamLew?
Have to agree, Quinn also saves me from using Big Ben and Jeff Garcia the rest of this year.As a Braylon Edwards owner, I've been looking forward to this day all year.Drop BE and The Soldier a bit. Bump to JamLew?
This isn't the first post on Brady Quinn, there are some in depth discussions on why he'll succeed or not. My in depth opinion can be found in there if you really want it on why I feel the way I do.Excellent insight and analysis here.Sometimes you have to watch what you rish for because you just might get it.Brady Quinn will ultimately fail.I was at the game. However, I'm thinking all that Muscle Milk may cause Quinn to huck it deep more often than normal. "NOW I'M DONE!" I always say that when I'm done with anything, too. Just so everybody knows that I'm done -- you know?I don't think that I'd be all that excited if I was an Edwards owner. Better than being the king of throwing every pass long, intermiediate and short with no touch and at a million miles per hour.I don't think that I'd be all that excited if I was an Edwards owner. orly?More info to come...
I'm a Bray owner and I'm not sure that Quinn is gonna suddenly improve his league leading 12 dropped catches... It's not all DA's fault. I mean look at that 60-70 yarder that Bray flat out dropped yesterday. THe pass was right on the money.. not to mention the other 11 passes that Bray muffed this year. But hey, if he catches them all for Quinn then HOORAY!As a Braylon Edwards owner, I've been looking forward to this day all year.Drop BE and The Soldier a bit. Bump to JamLew?
Actually I think you have to bump KW2 as teams will rush Quinn heavily and he'll need to dump the ball to the TE a lot. I might even say bump BE due to simple math. If Braylon only catches 50% of the balls that hit his hands and DA can only get %50 of his passes in the same zip code, it stands to reason that Quinn should give him twice as many passes to drop. That's a step up, isn't it? I actually think the drop in the verticle threat may hurt Jamal the most. Pass blitzers can become run blitzers pretty easily and a slower Jamal needs that cushion that the vertical game gives him to average his 4 yards per carry. Since he doesn't run outside a whole lot anymore, he'll be met with a lot of blitzing LB's and safeties. He might even give up some carries to Wright or Harrison just to show enough of an outside running threat to keep teams honest.Drop BE and The Soldier a bit. Bump to JamLew?
Dunno ESev, we'll see how R-Cren decides to use him against the B-cos.Drop BE and The Soldier a bit. Bump to JamLew?

Brady Quinn played with a horrible OL in college, and that hampered his play at times. Its hard to be accurate with the deep ball when you are getting hit and sacked an insane amount of times. His ability to lead the Fighting Irish despite that situation is actually impressive. I'm very excited to see how he can develop behind the quality blocking he will enjoy with the Browns. This is a very good situation for him, and not because he's from Ohio.I don't think that I'd be all that excited if I was an Edwards owner. I'm referring to his play in pre-season games. The coaching staff even commented on that Quinn was not going thru his progressions and would bail on the play and just throw to the check down receiver.Brady Quinn played with a horrible OL in college, and that hampered his play at times. I agree. I would bump up Winslow and Heiden and downgrade Edwards and Lewis.Actually I think you have to bump KW2 as teams will rush Quinn heavily and he'll need to dump the ball to the TE a lot. Might be shellshock from Notre Dame. Probably will have to be patient with that tendency, and hope he snaps out of it. LOL!! No.Looks like the threads were merged. Someone posted HONDA in my thread, and I was just replying that mine was posted first so the other threads on Quinn starting were HONDA, not mineYou want a cookie?FYI - if you look at the time, mine was posted first.
